2. The Big Discovery Many people thought that the sun revolved around the Earth. It was because of Nicolaus Copernicus that this was proven wrong. He proved that it’s not the sun that revolves around the earth, it’s that the earth revolves around the sun.
3. The man who did it all Below is Nicolaus Copernicus. He is responsible for the discovery of correcting people about astronomy. He discovered that the Earth revolves around the sun.
4. The invention Below is a picture of Copernicus’s discovery. The gold star is the sun and the circle with the blue dot is the earth. The rest of the dots are planets.

A quote that explains it all Copernicus states that “ Moreover, since the sun remains stationary, whatever appears as a motion of the sun is really due rather to the motion of the earth.” In other word,sthis means that although the sun stays still, all the motion that goes on around the sun is due to the motion of the earth.
6. Why is it important? This discovery is important because without it people today could still be thinking that the sun revolves around the earth and that the sun is the center of the universe. It is also important because it effected part of the solar system.
7. How it influenced us This discoveryhas influenced us in many ways. In some schools this is being taught in science and how the solar system works because of this discovery. Also as I stated in the last slide this affected part of the solar system.
