In the big country of Japan Tokyo city, Hokkiado District it was sunny day and I think it’s
a good city for me. In the district of Hokkaido there was a man, a High School Student
he was known as “the savior of Metropolitan Police HQ” the son of Gunma Police
Superintendent and Police Head Medic “Hattori – Hieji”.
One afternoon a mail was sent to him, it say’s “you are invited great Detective please
come, a hundred Dollars was attached at the back of this mail, it’s for your efficiency” he
was a little bit surprise. The address of the letter was indicated, it was a five star hotel
“Beika Crown Hotel” as he went to the reservation section, the hotel attendant said that
a reservation package was reserve for a detective, An old man, a computer MIT
graduate, a retired photographer and a representative from Suzuki group of companies.
Hattori – kun is very confused and curious for what the invited guest always saying:
“Night Baron, Night Baron, Night Baron” they were saying that the one who invited them
is the ‘Night Baron’, Night baron refers to a fictional character from a Novelist “kudo
Yusako” that according to Sherlock Holmes a thief and a deadly serial killer from
London 1883. As Hattori – kun beginning hesitate, he made connection with guest and
begun to make friends; Sukanji Monawi 78 years old (Blind), Kanjituro Nanako 38 years
old, Yamakanji Eomonki and Hakanjisu Danshaku 28 years old. After dinner the guest
went to their rooms and go to sleep, Hattori – kun still cannot make up his mind and still
researching for Night Baron in his room. 10:00 PM still reading stories and at the same
time watching the clock was the habit of Hattori – kun, when he heard some noise
“Pluck, Tick, tock” he rushed outside and accidentally he saw a man in darkness “
Nana…Night baron!!!” he chased over Night Baron but accidentally Night baron was
eaten by the Darkness and disappeared, the young detective was failed to catch him.
The guest starting to get panic and say “ so I was right, night Baron is here” Sukanji –
san said, “yeah that means night baron disguise as one of the guest” Hattori – kun said,
“eh?? Night Baron is one of us??” other guest said. It was Midnight, after that terrible
show up of Night Baron, the guest return to their rooms. After that Hakanjisu – san
came to Hattori – kun’s room “Hattori – kun, I’m here to give you your Midnight snack”
“all of the guest was serve except yamakanji – san” “ eh?? This is strange ok let’s go
to his room” Hattori – kun said. Outside the room, Hattori – kun was pressing the door
bell for a minutes but nobody answer. After that Hattori – kun decided to force open the
door, but when he opened, he found yamakanji – san in the floor, he begin to think,
there was a Charcoal burning and it’s closed windows. “ jisu – san, I’ll count 3 we will go
in, you take care the charcoal out I’ll take care the bind windows with scotch tape to be
open, 1…2…3 go” Hattori – kun and jisu – san were both holding their breath, and

2. thanks god they did it. Hattori –kun check the body, “do I need to call an ambulance”
jisu –san said “ no, because this person is already dead” Hattori – kun said, “Eh??
Dead, yamakanji – san is dead, s..o I’ll call the police instead” ok, after the police came,
inspector yamanaka said that “this case is already solved, there’s no need to worry,
because this is a “Charcoal Burning Suicide” “ no inspector, your wrong, because this
isn’t a suicide, it’s a murder” Hattori –kun said. “Murder you say? So how the culprit
manage to create this kind of trick?? A window locked, a locked door from inside and
the master key is in the pocket of the victim?? How??” what the heck is this?? This is a
locked room murder case?!!” “ I don’t know that yet inspector but I can say that this case
can lead us to NIGHT BARON” what bothering Hattori-kun is the blood on the keyboard
“ kanji + CTRL LM” Hattori –kun asked the inspector to gather all guest in a room for
some alibi questioning. Sukanji – san said that “ at the time of the crime scene, he was
on the phone communicating with his grandson in London”, Kanjituro – san “ he was
creating his new program in the computer” and for Hakanjisu – sensei, among all guest
she has the most solid alibi, because she was with Hattori – kun at he time of the crime
scene and a big help to him. After hearing the alibis of the guest he rush to the crime
scene and check the pocket of the victim, and Hattori – kun deed found the master
room key, the question is “how did the culprit manage to lock the room from outside
without touching the keys?? Hattori – kun said. As Hattori talking with the Police he
notice a small needle beside the body “Needle?? What does this mean to the case”
“ah!, so that how it is, I think I know some part of this case” Hattori – kun said “ inspector
kindly bring the whole guest in this room” “ok I understand. According to Hattori –kun
this kind of trick is very simple but not easy to deal with” “ I will show you how the trick
goes”. “by using this tiny string and needle, I will show you how,” after killing the victim
with charcoal poisoning and needle neck like this, the murderer stole the key that the
victim had, and then the murderer took out this string and struck the end without the
needle to the tape in the key holder, and passed the needle and string through the
victim’s pocket. After that, the murderer placed the body in the ground in which we saw
him when we came in the murderer took both ends and locked the door. After that, the
murderer put the key on the floor and just pulled the string, and the key passes the door
and automatically goes into the victim’s pocket and you pull again a little bit harder, the
strings comes off the tape, and all you need to do is to roll the string and make the
evidence” disappeared. “ ah it’s right the key was back into the pocket, this boy is
genius”. “(whispering)damn if this detective will pinpoint where the string came from, I’m
done” Kanjituro – san said. “what did you say Kanjituro – san??” Hakanjisu –san said “
no, Nothing, I was jus thinking”.” if I reveal the identity of the culprit now, Maybe my
deduction will fail, because I don’t have enough evidence that this guy Kajituro – san
was the culprit and he is the face behind the mask of NIGHT BARON” “Hmmm..my
head is going crazy, what bothering me now is the dying message “KANJI + LM”
Hattori said. Inspector: “well, it’s getting very late we decided that the investigation will

3. continue at dawn, we will come back later please stay in your room and make sure it’s
lock” By the way Hattori – kun we will go now!. “Ok inspector! Hattori –kun replied “ so
Hattori – kun did you figure it out?? Do you know who really NIGHT BARON IS??”
Hakanjisu – san asked “no, not yet onnee-san but I have a bad feeling about that guy
kanjturo – san” Hattori – kun said “ I’m going to my room now” ok, take your time.
Hattori is very confused in how to solve the case his mind is very restless. “I should
untie the mystery of NIGHT BARON before dawn” he said. An hour passed when
Hattori –kun try to investigate kanjituro, when hakanjisu – san approach him and say :
“detective – san, can I help you in this case? I will be a great help” Hattori –kun replied
“if you say so, why not??” .so they sneak into kanjituro – san room, they tried to ring the
bell but nobody answers, so they try to open the door lock and it’s open it seems that it’s
not locked. “ what about that guy??” hakanjisu – san said “this man is very suspicious
indeed, this is strange when he leave he always bring his computer, but this time it’s
here let’s check it” Hattori –kun open the computer, and suddenly a virus appeared
saying : “HAHAHA I’AM NIGHT BARON AND NO ONE CAN STOP
ME!!!...HAHAHAHA!!! New years eve is fast approaching” Hattori –kun was indeed
right with his deduction. “so that man, really is the culprit, but where is he?? Is he
hiding?? What I don’t understand is the word: “NEW YEARS EVE IS NEAR?” “hey..hey
brother I heard that there will be a fireworks display for the new years eve!! Oh yeah”
(two kids were passing by in the hotel )“new years eve??, fireworks?, don’t tell me
BOMBS!! He already set bombs!! “damn I didn’t say it coming!!!” (on the phone) Hattori
–kun and inspector Yamanaka were talking “inspector, I know already who is the culprit,
and he already set BOMBS!! In every part of this hotel” Hattori –kun said “eh?? You
already know who is the culprit, and BOMBS what are we going to do” “please inspector
follow my instruction very well” as Hattori –kun gave instruction to the inspector, and the
inspector follow it “inspector, call the ambulance, police and the Tokyo fire protection
department, tell them that when they are coming to the hotel please low down they’re
sirens and alert system, to make the people calm and nothings happen while I’m going
to go to the management and tell them the situation and evacuate the people calmly”
Hattori –kun said. After an hour the police, TFPD, and the medical groups arrive, but
without noticing the culprit press the remote bomb and explode “Bang, Boom” the
people we’re panicking “hey what’s happening the power went out” “the bomb came
from the power engine room” the engineer said “Mommy I’m scared, are we going to
die??” the children asked (crying) and I the Hattori –kun the great detective said “ no
because I will save you all, there are some VIP elevators that uses generators from
separate power supply, it might be useful so please be calm, don’t rush. inspector
please take charge I will just settle things here, Ok I understand, hattori please be
careful. The smoke is very thick because of the blast (the culprit again press the remote
bomb bang!!) damn. God whatever happen please help me, “that was my words while
rushing to the crime scene while enduring fires and smug. Hmm, I found the culprit,

4. wearing NIGHT BARON suit and mask, so you were the culprit?? “at this time you
came?? Do you know how many bombs surrounds me?? It will wipe the entire hotel and
also you!!” NIGHT BARON said. Hem! Do you know that I already evacuated the people
and it’s only you and me now?? First I was very confused about you, I fail twice in my
deduction and this time I will not (secretly and slowly unlocking my revolver) at the time
it was hard for me to solve the case of charcoal Burning murder case, but when I look
upon the nasty dying message left by the victim it becomes clear form me!! “CTRL +
LM” “the face behind the mask is non other you “NIGHT BARONESS” or I should say??
Hakanjisu – san??. “Damn, your really a genius, so you really figure it out detective –
san” Hakanjisu – san said, first I wasn’t convinced that you are the real culprit, but when
I looked upon your complete names “Eomonoki, Danshaku, Monawi, Nanaku” that time I
was convince, your last name is danshaku, I understand the dying message “CTRL +
LM” because danshaku(Japanese) in English it say’s “BARON” you were NIGHT
BARON (Danshaku = Baron) so where is Kanjtiruo – san?? “(laughing) sorry but you
won’t find him here, because I already killed him”, that’s right I’m night baron and I’m the
one who invited you here!!!” Night baron said (she slowly opened her mask) so what’s
the motive of killing them both?? “before I tell you my motive, I will tell you my story, 10
years ago me and my family leave happily, but that man yamakanji take away
everything from us, he killed my brother, after that my parents were very depressed and
bumped their car and both died, because of that man, happy family become lonely.!!”.
And for kanjituro – san?? “ Hattori asked “no, I don’t have grudge against him I just kill
him to make you hesitate, when you told me that you have bad feeling about that man! I
made my mind and kill him, after I killed him, I entered my virus and destroy his all
data!!. Unlucky for him.
“since you know who my identity let’s blow up together, (pressing the remote)
HAHAHAHA!!!” trying to press the remote well it can’t be used again because I already
detonate the bombs, so it’s useless, now stop pretending that you killed them, because
of that lame motive!!, yamakanji – san did not kill your brother, it happens that after the
crime scene he was shooting with his camera, that’s why he become suspicious. “that’s
a lie!!” night baron said, no it isn’t, my father the chief of GUNMA POLICE
DEPARTMENT told me a case like that.
“(starting to cry) What? No, but why nobody told me??, because your gone to abroad,
so the police didn’t have a chance to tell you. “so what’s this all for?? I killed for
nothing?? I killed my future”
(the ceiling fan is falling upon Night baron’s head) watch out!!! (Hattori –kun jumped and
drag Night baron) and she was saved, “why did you save me?? Let me die I’m a
criminal, no because, before you face god, I want you to face first the justice which I
serve.

5. Again a tear some face In front of me, I Hattori Heiji won’t forget that face and that day,
after hakajisu – san confess to the police and been judge by the court for 10 years of
imprisonment the people of Hokkaido leave in peace as they were before.
2 days later, “(on the phone)yeah Hattori –kun your very famous to the newspaper
today, your great, you lucky” inspector yamanaka said, well it isn’t luck hehe.
