Mr. Williams has become quite isolated, although he does have one friend who tries to visit
him on a weekly basis. He relies on the local shop when buying his groceries. Mr. Williams
has been visited by Social Services, following a call by his neighbour who is concerned about
is health and wellbeing. Following this visit, Mr. Williams has been admitted to the local
cottage hospital suffering from dehydration and malnutrition. His body is in poor condition
and he has infected feet. He also appears to be exhibiting early signs of Dementia.Mr.
Williams was not happy about being admitted to the hospital and, for the first couple of
days, refused to speak to staff or to co-operate with them when they were trying to give
personal care. He has not eaten very much and seems quite disinterested. He has, however,
