This document describes a new replaceable seat technology for BOPs introduced by Worldwide Oilfield Machine. The key points are: 1) WOM has introduced a next generation U-type RAM BOP with a no-weld cavity and a single-piece replaceable insert. Description
WOM introduce next generation seat seal assembly titled as “Single-piece Replaceable
Insert.”
Newly developed WOM U type RAM BOP uses single-piece replaceable insert, a unique
advancement to the equipment. This single piece replaceable Insert provides extraordinary
sealing surface for the Ram top sealing area. The insert is energized to top cavity with special
Grub Screw set.
