Every year on Halloween, my flat is shining with creepy excitement as I join my long-suffering
girlfriend (and a little collection of our friends) for the night of classic horror films. The standard
suspects all get an outing, (similar ones we've consistantly watched), like the initial F.W Murnau
'Nosferatu', 'The Shining', 'Ring' (The Hideo Nakata version, obviously) and others still.
Clutching tightly on out bowls of snacks or bags of candy, many of us gather round and try to get
worked up about films we have watched a billion times before.
It is now a tradition that goes back to my more youthful days, when I still lived with my dad and
mom. Back then, Halloween was a great deal, we would cover the home with spooky decorations
(usually purchased very inexpensively one or two weeks after the previous year's festivities).
Rubber spiders, cardboard skeletons and this cobwebby stuff that just sticks on you (and does not go
away for weeks) would adorn both the inside and out of doors of my parents' home. We were
fortunate enough to live not far away to an American Woman who often cooked (and shared) the
most effective pumpkin pie I've ever tasted.
We would go 'Trick or Treat-ing' when we were little, of course, but switched to collecting for charity
as we got older. We collected for Cancer Research, Parkinson's Disease and, in 2001, we raised a
tidy little total for those people of 9/11 victims, I'm always happy with that.
Back then; the horror movies would begin early, typically with one of the many, many (many)
'Halloween' sequels. Then, we would upgrade to something else (my brother and I are very large
followers of Mark Pellington's wickedly underrated 2002 film 'The Mothman Prophecies'). Our
neighbour's youngsters would often come over for a hotdog and many free candy, so we always
needed to pause these movies right at the great bits!
Why am I revealing you all this? Clearly, mainly I need to tell you all this as if I had a Panasonic 32
inch TV, Halloween could be even better for this year and every year thereafter. Yeah, I'm selling the
thing, but I am doing this in an original and interesting way, so just do me the favour and carry on to
the end.
What's so special about the Panasonic 32 inch Television?, I hear you ask, well, besides having a
whopping 32-Inch screen (in full 1080P HD, no less), this innovative new Television from market
leaders Panasonic includes built-in WiFi, so me and my associates could scare themselves watching
the Youtube app for 'Ghost Caught on Tape' or such like.
The super-slim design for the telly means that it will fit effortlessly into my residence, enabling us to
boost the evening's celebrations by tempting yet more mates.
To sum up, a spooky Halloween evening full of chills, thrills and (necessarily with my friends) spills,
will be so greatly enhanced by this TV's incredible visuals, crisp, atmospheric noises and the eye-
popping (literally with permission we have posted this article from here in the case of perennial
Samhain fave 'Evil Dead II') rendering of computer graphics, that I just felt compelled to inform you
