Tic-Tac-Toe for the week of Sept. 9-13, 2013
Directions: Choose your own homework assignments! Choose at least three
activities to complete this week. The three that you choose must make a
“Tic Tac Toe” on the board! Color in the box as you complete the activity.
If there is something to turn in, bring it when you turn this paper in on
MONDAY! Have fun! 
DON’T FORGET TO READ EACH DAY AT LEAST 15 MINUTES!
Write 5 sentences. Underline
the action word (verb) in
each sentence. Circle the
naming words (nouns) in each
sentence.
What do you think is the most
important quality in a good
math teacher? Explain?
List 5 silly uses for a wooden
spoon? Perhaps a turtle could
use it for an oar and float on
his back and row across the
pond.
If I buy a cookie for $.35 and a
Coke for $.50, how much will I
spend? If I pay with $1.00, how
much money will I get back?
How much money do I have if
I have 3 quarters, 2 dimes, 5
nickels and 4 pennies?
Practice addition facts with
flash cards, out loud with an
adult, writing them down,
anyway you choose. The faster
you can do them the easier
math will become.
According to the legend,
grown-ups cannot see
unicorns, but children can.
Explain why only children can
see unicorns.
Show me 5 ways to make
$1.00.
Imagine that.
Sally folded a piece paper in
half then half again and
punched a hole with a hole
punch.
What will the paper look like
when Sally unfolds it?
I verify that my child has read at least 60 minutes (15 minutesday) this
week. ___________
