The document describes a school project where children in Italy explored aromatic plants in the school garden through their senses of smell, touch, sight, hearing and taste. The children observed the plants closely with magnifying glasses and microscopes, took photos, listened to the plants with stethoscopes, smelled the leaves by rubbing them, and cooked with herbs like rosemary, oregano and basil. They made an herbalarium by collecting and drying samples of the plants. The goal was for the children to learn about the plants experientially through hands-on activities in a fun and engaging way.
