3. Christopher supposedly was on a journey. He came to a
stream and by the stream found a young boy. The boy
could not cross on his own and Christopher, a kindly
soul, helped the young boy. He placed the boy on his
shoulders to carry him across but upon lifting the boy to
his shoulders found himself under an unbelievable
burden. But still Christopher made it to the other side of
the stream and upon putting the child down discovered
the boy was really Jesus and Christopher had been
carrying what Jesus carried, the weight of all the sin of
the world. From that, Christopher became the patron
Saint of travellers.
4. Nobody knew his actual birth day because he was born
on a ship. But we do know that he was born between
August and October and died at the age of 54. He died a
martyr. This means he was killed because he believed in
Jesus.
5. Since 1967, the feast day of St Christopher is 25 July.
