experience urinary leaks when lifting heavy things, laughing, coughing, exercising, and
sneezing.
 Overflow Incontinence: What characterizes this type of incontinence is constant or
frequent dribbling of urine because of a bladder that cannot empty completely.
 Urge Incontinence: This results in sudden and intense urges to urinate, which may be
followed by involuntary urinary leaks.
 Functional Incontinence: This can be a result of a mental or physical impairment.
 Mixed Incontinence: This may refer to when one experiences more than one urinary
incontinence type. Many women will have a mixture of stress and urge incontinence.
Non-Surgical Options for Incontinence Treatment
There are different ways to treat incontinence without surgery. Some of them include:
 Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercises: Exercising these muscles makes them firmer and strong
enough to prevent leaks.
