Twittermanagement
1. Welcome to the Twitter Followers Management Spreadsheet
If you rush to the next tab and press Start before reading the instructions below , this spreadsheet will automatically self-destruct!!
Just kidding ...
But if you do, please note that most of the sample account names in this spreadsheet have been altered to protect the innocent
So, unless you enter your own account names, the results may not be very pretty ...

A. Purpose of this Spreadsheet
For those of you using manual measures to increase your followers, or who are using free tools to do so, you know that maintaining a low ratio of Friends to Followers
is crucial, if you want to stay in Twitter's good books. Also, you need to monitor the frequency of your tweets, unless you risk being considered a spammer by Twitter.
This Twitter Followers Management Spreadsheet will allow you to check whether it is time to do some pruning of people you follow who are not following you back
to manage a low ratio and keep your account in good standing. It will also give you vital statistics to determine the performance of your follower gathering strategies.
When you have set-up the spreadsheet (according to the instructions in point C. below) and click on the START button in the 'Followers' tab,
a program in this spreadsheet will automatically go to Twitter and collect various pieces of data for up to 100 of your Twitter accounts.
It will then store the result for each account in relevant cells in the spreadsheet and provide you with filters and sort methods for you to analyse your performance.
You are unlikely to need this spreadsheet (other than for the novelty value) if you only have a couple of Twitter accounts. This spreadsheet becomes a vital
part of your Twitter tool chest if you have more than a handful of accounts, as collecting and analysing the data manually very quickly becomes a chore.
This spreadsheet was put together in a few hours to help a friend of mine who manages hundreds of Twitter accounts for his paying customers. It is made available to you
free of charge by SetAndGo Productions, the makers of FeedMyTweeter Pro, and we hope it will help you in a modest way to manage your Twitter accounts.
If you are having problems gathering followers, or if you would like to speed-up your rate of followers acquisition, we warmly recommend TweetSpinner at
http://bit.ly/8w2yUV
TweetSpinner is a set-and-forget system that automatically finds Twitter followers in targeted niches that you specify (and much, much more).
The basic program is free to join (and yes, it is sufficient to boost your followers). If you are really serious with Twitter, TweetSpinner have a paid-for program, which is
like followers vodoo magic and which manages your accounts automatically, so much so that you would not need this spreadsheet if you used TweetSpinner.
Please note that if you join TweetSpinner by the above link and sign-up to the paid-for program, I stand to make a commission.
If this offends you, please use the link below which allows you to go directly to TweetSpinner bypassing my commission.

B. Structure of this Spreadsheet
In addition to this 'Instructions' Tab, there is one further tab in this spreadsheet:
The 'Followers' Tab, which
Allows you to enter up to 100 Twitter account names
Allows you to specify your maximum friends-to-followers ratio (7.5% to 10% is twitter-friendly)
Allows you to control the starting of the Twitter followers management data collection (Start button)
Will contain all the data collected from Twitter or calculated for you
Here are the data elements collected for you (the headings are reproduced here for your convenience):
Number Number of Average Number Average Number Ratio Of Account
Of Days Since Tweets Per Of Number of Of Following Over Needs Error Message
Tweets Account Day Followers Followers Per Following Followers Pruning ?
Opening Day
-1 -2 -3 -4 -5 -6 -7 -8 -9
For each account entered in column 2 on the Followers tab, the following information is automatically collected for you
-1 Total Number Of Tweets you tweeted to the account since the account opening date
-2 Number Of days Since Account Opening : Self Explanatory
-3 Average Number Of Tweets Per Day : number of total tweets since account opening divided by number of days since account opening
-4 Number Of Followers : Current number of followers, acquired since the account opening date
-5 Average Number Of Followers Per Day : Total number of current followers divided by number of days since account opening
-6 Numbers Of Following : Current number of friends (or people you are following), acquired since the account opening date
-7 Ratio of Following Over Followers : The proportion of Friends over Followers. Twitter will be unhappy with you if this ratio is high.
-8 Account Needs Pruning : If the ratio in (7) is higher than the ratio threshold you have specified, this column will say *yes*, indicating
that you need to take appropriate measures to reduce your ratio by unfollowing friends who do not follow you.
-9 Error message
Indidcates errors found while processing your account, for example
Account not found
The user has been suspended
Twitter is too busy to talk to you right now (any errors starting with 400 or 500)
Your internet connection is down
Twitter limit exceeded :
3. Twitter only allows 150 account enquiries per hour.
If you exceed that limit, you need to wait until the current hour concludes before trying again
This spreadsheet will tell you at what timeit is OK to try again, and will not bother Twitter until that time, even if you press start
C. Setup
Once Microsoft Excel fires up, in the 'Followers' Tab:
Enter up to 100 Twitter account names, starting in row 12
The names need to be in contiguous rows
The system will stop when it finds no account name in column 2 (i.e. Will stop at he first empty row)
Enter your maximum threshold of friends to followers you want to monitor
Click on the "Start" button
D. Usage
After hitting "Start", the status indicator will go from green to red and ask you to be patient while we talk to Twitter
When the status indicator turns green again, all your accounts data should be in the spreadsheet, unless there has been an error
If you use Excel 2007 or higher, use the filter down arrows at the top of each column to :
Sort all data in ascending or descending order
Display the accounts above or below average for the type of data in the column
Display the top 10 items in that column
And more ....
E. Troubleshooting
If the start button is inactive, you have Excel configured to disable macros.
Enabling access to macro execution is necessary for the spreadsheet to work.
If you feel comfortable allowing macro execution, do the following to enable it :
1) Go to the Excel start button (large-ish round button at the top left of the Excel window)
2) Click on the "Excel options" button
3) When the Excel Options window appears, click on the "Trust Center" menu item
4) Click on the "Trust Centre" button
5) Click on the "Macro Settings" button
6) Click on the "Enable all macros (not recommended; potentially dangerous code can run)" radio button
7) Tick the "Trust Access to the VBA project object model" check box
8) click OK
9) Click OK
