Endress+Hauser Partners with Thomas Industrial
Network to Build Full CAD Library to Maximize
Engineering Productivity
Global supplier of industrial measurement and automation engineering collaborates with
Thomas to deliver 2D & 3D CAD models and certified drawings online
Reinach, Switzerland, New York, USA – October 9, 2012 – Endress+Hauser, a leading
worldwide supplier of industrial measurement and automation engineering, has selected
Thomas Industrial Network, industry’s leading product information and technology provider, to
develop a full CAD library of its devices, making it easier for engineers and design houses to do
business with the company.
Endress+Hauser manufactures a full line of equipment that provides comprehensive process
solutions for flow, level, pressure, analysis, temperature, recording and digital communications
across a wide range of industries. Thomas’ Enterprise Solutions team will be centralizing the
data on these products, and then building 2D and 3D CAD models and certified drawings.
Process and engineering professionals will be able to automatically generate and download
these drawings, and insert them into their own designs to ensure an exact fit. The project has
duration of 12-18 months with models expected to be online from mid-2013.
“We are thrilled to be working with Thomas to help us build and generate this invaluable content
for our customers,” said John Salusbury, Director of Marketing at Endress+Hauser. “This is
another important piece in the engineering phase of our lifecycle support concept which focuses
on making our clients’ jobs easier and more productive.”
As a direct result of Thomas’ content partnership with Intergraph, a leading global provider of
engineering and geospatial software, Endress+Hauser will also make Intergraph, certified CAD
models and data available to its Smart Plant users. Intergraph’s Smart 3D (S3D) design and
modeling system is used to design large capital projects within the construction industry.
