Technology Staff Development Plan

   Campus principals trained in Moodle and Web 2.0 tools to expand two-way communication
        Set the pace for daily technology use
        Attend all district required technology proficiency trainings
        Attend at least one additional district offered technology class
        Use technology to disseminate assessment data and set goals
        Use technology to set class rosters and master schedule at the end of the year

   Expand Moodle training to all campus staff, not just classroom teachers
        Web pages for each staff member expands information available to all staff, students and parents, supporting CIP goals for
         staff development, instruction and parent involvement
             Specialists could post strategies parents could use at home that would complement school instruction
             Calendars could be posted to keep parents informed of sequence of instruction
             Program details could be posted for community/parents to glean information and ask questions

   Provide opportunities for teaching staff to host staff development on using technology in the classroom
        Teachers sharing knowledge – supports district efforts to efficiently use resources and maximize budget allocations
        Collaboration builds team work and relationships – best practices in the real world are valuable
        Supports CIP goals in two ways
             Team building activities
             Teachers gaining technology training
Technology Action Plan Evaluation Process
   Campus principals develop and post blog and Moodle webpage by end of first nine weeks
       Provide address for web page and/or blog to campus staff and begin posting information (eliminates the need for
        as many face-to-face staff meetings or emails, while still providing a means of two-way communication
       Provide a web page/blog for communication with parents and other community stakeholders

   During the week of staff development before school:
       Recruit teachers to present at least two sessions on how they use technology in the classroom
            Survey participants and analyze feedback on effectiveness
       Prior to this week, disseminate district offered sessions in order for staff to enroll in the appropriate sessions

   At each grade reporting period teachers will provide a report (using Eduphoria Forethought data) of
    technology used in their lessons

   At least monthly, view each teacher’s web page/blog and provide constructive feedback

   Include at least monthly visits to 3-5 grade classrooms to observe how technology is being
    implemented and how students use it in their classes – supports PDAS

   Rather than provide teachers with district assessment data after each round of testing, have teachers
    provide you with the information they access through Eduphoria Aware program.
