2. The technical education department of the state government will sign a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Kharagpur.
3. Through these means the centre would facilitate the engineering
teachers in Chhattisgarh to get the training from the faculty at the Indian
Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
4. The Board of Governors of IIT Kharagpur in January this year has
approved the creation of an Extension Centre at Andaman and Nicobar
Islands.
5. The Chhattisgarh Government has introduced a self-certification scheme
for boiler inspections in its industrial policy of 2014-19 on lines of a
system prevailing in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
6. For smoothening the process of starting new industries this scheme was
launched. This is the part of government's ease of doing business policy.
7. All departments will clear bottlenecks for smooth establishment of
industries in state. The annual inspections of boilers and certification
would be replaced by third-party inspectors and self-certification.
8. The Chhattisgarh Cabinet approved a proposal to enhance the
retirement age of state government employees to 62 years. It will
influence around 300,000 employees—both official and other grades.
9. This relaxation in the age would be applicable to all employees working
with state-run boards, corporations, panchayat and civic bodies.
