‘Save the Planet’ was launched in 2010 as a vehicle to help accelerate the waste management
development in South-East Europe. In 2011 the Conference gathered 250
participants from 31 countries for three days of results-oriented discussions and debates on topics like waste management,
waste-to-energy and recycling.
The 2012 edition will continue to tackle the financial, regulatory, policy and technological roadblocks to waste management
implementation across the SEE Region. It will show the huge business potential of the market and will encourage the know-how
transfer. The Conference will serve as a forum for the international environmental community to meet and collaborate with
South-East European policy-holders, senior utility executives and private sector leaders. Leading companies will present at the
Exhibition cutting edge technologies and services.
Austria, one of the international leaders in environmental technology, will be a focus country.
