Walt Disney Quotes
"The Happiest Place on Earth" "All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them" –Walt Disney (Brainyquote.com). This quote
said by Walt Disney, the founder of Disneyland and Disney World resembles all that Walt did. He came up with the idea to start a theme park for
families and took it a bit further. Walt Disney had the courage to try and pursue his dream and it paid off. He was not afraid of failure and pursued his
dream. Walt Disney World is the number one vacation spot in the world, and has evolved throughout the many years of construction, and hard work
that was put into the park. Walt Disney World is a vacation spot created and founded by Walt Elias Disney in the 1960's (Bennett).Walt wanted to

The death of Walt put the construction of Disneyworld, and EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow) on hold (AllEars.net).
Walt's death frazzled many team members; some even considered stopping the project all together and not continue with the construction of Disney
World, ever. Walt's brother, Roy, saved the Disney Project and continued on with Walt's plans to build Disney World. The idea of EPCOT was one
of the only parks not fulfilled in Walt's plans. No one totally understood which direction to take the project; the blueprint was very complex and few
understood it (AllEars.net). After about a month of intervention, the construction of Disney World was back on track. October 1st was the date to
shoot for the grand opening ordeals. It was this day when Roy made his tribute to his beloved brother, Walt. In his speech Roy said, "Walt Disney
World is a tribute to the philosophy and life of Walter Elias Disney" (Startedbyamouse.com). Although the grand opening of the park was said to be a
great success; there was only 10,000 visitors to the park. Some newscasters even deemed Disney World a failure. As the end of opening month rolled
around, the number of visitors spiked dramatically. Walt Disney World soon became the number one vacation destination in the United

Informative Speech : Attention Getter For The Walt Disney...
Topic: Walt Disney World
Organization: Topical
Specific Purpose: To show that Walt Disney World is a family
–oriented experience.
I.Introduction
A.Attention Getter: As Walt Disney once stated, "To all who come to this happy place, Welcome. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and
here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Hoping that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to the entire world (IMDb, n.d.)."
B.Relevance: Walt Disney created Disneyland and Disneyworld because he believed that people who rushed to grow up were selling themselves short.
He invented the theme parks in order to bring out the inner child in you, no matter your age.
C.Credibility Statement: I feel as if everyone here was ecstatic to go away to college and start their life as an adult. But why? As Walt Disney said,
"who said we had to grow up? (IMDb, n.d.)."
D.Central Idea: Disneyworld is known worldwide as the "happiest place on earth."
E.Initial Preview: We will learn how Disneyworld was created, and how it became such a universal phenomenon through annual events and their most
famous attractions.
II.Body
Before we can discuss how Walt Disneyworld became a household name, we need to understand how it was developed.
A.First of all, Disneyworld begun with Disneyland in California. However, Walt Disney started developing Walt Disney World to give the Eastern side
of the United States the same joy as he did in California.
1)As stated from Palm Beach Post, in 1964 Walt Disney quietly bought 27,000 acres of the Central Florida swampland for "The Florida Project,"
known today as Disneyworld. (Frias, 2011)
2)The heart of Disneyworld was designed to be named "Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow." According to "History of Disney World" from
lovetoknow.com, the park built its own energy plants, food centers, laundry, and their own airstrip to become the "self–sufficient and self–governed
world" envisioned by Walt Disney. (Santiago, n.d.).
3)Sadly Walt Disney was not present for the opening of Walt Disneyworld Florida, due to his death from lung cancer. However, his brother Roy
carried out "The Florida Project" naming the park Walt Disney World in honor of his brother. On October 1st of

Taj Mahal Architecture
The Taj Mahal The Taj Mahal is a great example of symmetry because the first half of the building corresponds perfectly with the other half of the
building. Also, with the building reflecting off the water, you can see the beautiful mirror symmetry that is displayed. The pointed arches within a
rectangular frame dominate the exterior facade of the main building. In the Taj Mahal, the graves of the Emperor and his wife lie in the center of an
octagonal room. The drainage holes in some of the stones have a hexagonal pattern. The many domes in the Taj Mahal form circles at the bases. The
diameter of the biggest dome is sixty feet long.
History of the Taj Mahal:
Shah Jahan, the fifth Emperor of the Mughal dynasty, built the building in twenty–one years.
The Taj Mahal was built as a memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, after her death in 1631.
The Taj Mahal was built between 1632 and 1653 AD.
The building was built with white marble for the main mausoleum and red sandstone for accents and strengthening structures.
The Great Pyramid of Giza
The Great Pyramid is a polyhedron and it is shaped as a specific kind of cone, called a pyramid. The Great Pyramid has four congruent triangles
because each triangle has corresponding angles and corresponding sides that are congruent to each other. To build the Great Pyramid, there had to be
right angles in the center, otherwise it would be a lopsided pyramid. The Great Pyramid of Giza was originally built with a

Project Future Book Report
Walt Disney World Resort is known worldwide and is a widely popular vacation spot to millions of families every year. Though so many people
know about this central Florida destination, very few know just exactly how it came about. In his book, Project Future, Chad Denver Emerson
describes in detail the process Disney and his team went through in order to make his dream a reality. From finding the location for the project to
finalizing legislations, Emerson recalls the efforts put in by so many and the difficulties they faced while doing so. Through this book, we see just how
state and local government were put into use during the development of Project Future. With the huge success of Disneyland, Walt Disney became
interested in working on another project on the East Coast. He had received many letters inquiring a Disney expansion in their state or city, but the
majority received a response from Disney stating that he was not interested. Although, there were rare occasions when Walt's interest did pique,
particularly in Niagara, New Jersey, and St. Louis, but nothing more than a few meetings and visits came out of this. One major problem with these
locations is that the winter weather would require indoor ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Having personally been there numerous times, I can honestly say that Walt Disney did such an amazing job in immersing you into a completely
different world that the thought of how it all came to be never crosses your mind. When reading this book, it came as a surprise to me that Walt Disney
World Resort is its own municipality and that it took years beforehand for it to actually become that. Walt Disney worked effortlessly at this project
and the fact that he never was able to see his next big dream become a reality is truly tragic. The story of the creation of Walt Disney World is surely

In some of the Disney films, people argue if the men are portrayed as weak due to their vulnerability; however, showing vulnerability illustrates that
not everyone is perfect. This exemplifies a stronger apprehension for a more encouraging and sympathetic environment for young children to grow up
in. Walt Disney wanted his characters to send a message to teach children to express their personal feelings and be proud of where they came from. In
the film Snow White, she holds strong qualities that symbolizes self–determination. In the film, Snow White gets lost in the woods after she found out
that her step mom wanted her dead due to her beauty. In order to survive, she had to fight by herself before the dwarfs saved her. Another influential
character that Walt Disney created was Cinderella, due to her strong willpower. Cinderella went through many struggles with her abusive family, she
was able to fight through and overcome the challenges which led to her success. In most of Disney films, the characters become friends with animals
that help guide through obstacles. The animals give advice and motivation along the way ("Ecommons"). Other than influencing children through their
actions and personalities, Walt Disney also created characters that represent body positivity. For example, the character Mulan represents body
positivity by being a strong athletic woman compared to other women in her society. Mulan wouldnt accept the fact that since she was a woman, she

Walt Disney and Jet-Age City Planning Essay
Walt Disney and Jet–Age City Planning
Image borrowed from Waltopia. When is a planned community too planned? Some of the exhibits displayed at the 1939 World's Fair such as
Democracity and Futurama influenced many American community planners. The Levittown and Greenbelt projects followed the same guidelines of
community that the 1939 World's Fair introduced. These are two of the more well known Garden City projects that took many families away from big
cities and brought them to the peace and tranquility of the suburbs. On February 2nd, 1967, WalterElias Disney announced the plans to create a domed
community. This community would be known as the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow [EPCOT]. In this note, I will discuss how...

The look of the city and the layout of the enclosed communities looked strikingly similar to past garden city projects.
Image borrowed from Waltopia. The similarities between Disney's dream and that of Ebenezer Howard are striking. Howard's Garden city was
designed in concentric circles with the center of all the circles being a large garden and park that was encircled by a "Crystal Palace." In EPCOT,
rings that formed the concentric layout of the city would divide the town. The outer–most circle would consist of the most modern houses of the time,
and "would perpetually be remodeled to incorporate the latest technology" (Waltopia.com, 1999). The middle ring would consist of a massive green
belt that would include churches, playgrounds, and schools. The innermost ring, and the most spectacular of all would be enclosed by a dome and
would provide immediate access to the center of town. The hub of the innermost ring would be accented by an enormous and modern 30–story hotel
that would act as the center of commerce for the city, much like the Crystal Palace did for Ebenezer's Garden City. As with mostplanned communities
of the time such as Levittown and the Greenbelt Programs, the community members would be selected in order to form the most ideal society as
possible and isolate them from the dangers of traditional public life. As Walt Disney

It took sometime before Disney hit success again. However, Walt Disney Productions did shelve two iconic movies: Cinderella and Peter Pan. He
later opened a theme park, Disneyland, in 1955 in California. " Walt wished the theme park to be like nothing ever created on earth". He especially
wanted it to be surrounded by a train, going back to his youth and his early interest of trains. It was instantly a huge success and gave him the
inspiritan to open a second park in Orlando, Florida. He was beginning planning the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, otherwise
known as EPCOT, but sadly he died on December 15th, 1966 before construction was completed. Disney was scheduled to have lung neck surgery

After introducing the idea to the Imagineers, Walt's team drew up renderings and visuals to bring the concept to life. The result: an idealistic, retro
designed city that could be taken straight from the 1920's. Walt often sought advice from the acclaimed American architect, Welton Becket, who was
a close friend and neighbour to the Disney family. Becket's firm had designed buildings that lay on the Anaheim site and Walt took inspiration from
his forms and relayed them to the team behind Project X. The lead project Imagineer, Marvin Davis drew up Walt's idea and laboured for days on end
in a secretive studio called the Florida Room to produce an array of paintings and sketches showing the community. The futurist approach is a small
step in the direction we have been pursuing as architects for the most part the twenty–first century: ecological design. Another key point that has been
discussed, is the communities optimistic attempt to convey an efficient economic situation within such planned contemporary development. A bold
decision of that time, in relation to the drastic absence of affordable housing during the 60's and their place in America's struggling urban lexicon
(Neglia 2016). The design stages were well underway until a major setback in 1965 which effectively put the project out of service for good. Davis
recalls Walt seeking architectural assistance for the projects planning due to its inevitable complexity, he offered the scheme to Becket

Mandatory Vaccination Should Be Mandatory Vaccinations
Mandatory vaccinations should be required for all citizens in the U.S. Having mandatory vaccinations will allow for well protected future generations
that are susceptible to less health issues. With everyone being vaccinated there will be less occurrences of these diseases and sicknesses allowing
future generations a more healthy life with fewer visits to the doctor's office and hospital. Another reason to have mandatory vaccinations is that these
vaccines are safe and approved by trusted medical organizations that give citizens advice on most other health issues. Because the vaccines are safe
and trusted by professionals, there should be little resistance to having them be mandatory. Adverse reactions to vaccinations is a rare occurrence
meaning there is minimal risk in implementing mandatory vaccinations. Also when children are given vaccines at a young age they will not have to
pay to have them treated down the road. So with the possibility of healthier future generations, vaccines that are approved by medical professionals,
minimal risk, and saving people money there is little reason to be against mandatory vaccination. With mandatory vaccinations, the lifestyle of citizens
will be improved by having less doctor visits and healthier bodies.

The Importance Of Positivity And American Values In Disney
Disney emphasises the idea of happiness by turning reality into an illusion of the real world. Disney provides relief from everyday life, and it is
constantly promoting positivity and American values. After the Great Depression, Disney became a place where people could get away from their
day–to–day life and experience a whole new world full of fantasies and inspiration through parades, movies, and attractions, while also recognizing all
of America's achievements'.
Parades are one of the main ways Disney promotes american values. Happiness is extremely important especially coming off of the Great Depression.
No matter what religion, race, age, or gender, everyone comes together, in unity, to watch these parades. Parades, throughout Disney, help promote
positivity and take your mind off of everyday life. Each parade celebrates America's achievements and creates inspiration. The Great Depression was
an extremely hard time for many people and many Americans had lost hope and were very unhappy. Disney parades helped to spread joy to those who

Walt Disney's EPCOT: A Fascist Community
Walt Disney's EPCOT: A Fascist Community Walt Disney had a vision to create a utopian society for citizens called EPCOT (Experimental Prototype
Community of Tomorrow), but in reality, did he create a fascist community dictated by himself? EPCOT was an original project designed by Walt
Disney and the project was conceived between 1962 and 1966. Disney, described EPCOT would be the perfect utopian city environment enriched with
education, ever–expanding technology, dependable public transportation, and a soaring civic center covered in a dome. Walt Disney made a film
showcasing the idea and design of EPCOT just before his death in 1966. EPCOT was never constructed because it couldn't be accomplished in that

Disney, wanted EPCOT to be a planned and controlled community and in order to achieve that, Disney, must be "the controller and overseer" (Nessy).
Disney, states that citizens of EPCOT do not have voting rights and cannot own land or property. Everyone in EPCOT has to work and contribute,
there are no retirees in EPCOT. The evidence provided contradicts the idea of a utopian society, because citizens of EPCOT must do as they are told to.
Citizens must contribute to the community or they cannot live in EPCOT, they cannot own land or property, they don't have municipal voting rights,
they believe they live in a fantasy–like utopia. The evidence provided does not contribute in building a utopian society but rather a fascist community,
because everyone in EPCOT has to obey Walt Disney or they will be terminated of their residency. Fascism is an authoritarian and nationalistic
right–wing system of government and social organization. Walt Disney wanted control in EPCOT, he wanted it to be a clean environment with no
crime. Walt Disney was generally a "nice person although the rules he implemented for EPCOT was to listen and do your part in the community"
(Schneider). Walt Disney's set of

In 1928, Disney created the character Mickey Mouse. Originally, Mickey was portrayed as an airplane pilot, then an adventurous pirate. Disney's first
sound movie was called "The Jazz Singer", which led to the world's first talking–and–music cartoon called "Steamboat Willie" featuring Mickey
Mouse. Because the cartoon was getting so much positive attention, Disney decided to add a few new characters by the names of Minnie Mouse

"popular personality" (Baughman).
From 1930 to 1970, Walt created several cartoons. Some of these 'classics' included "Dumbo," Pinocchio," and "Snow White," "Cinderella," Peter

The British Museum Exhibition Of A Nation 's Cultural...
Soft power was popularized as a term in the 1990s when Joseph Nye wrote of the ways "a nation's cultural resources constitute a form of power that
enhances, or even substitutes for military and economic strength" (Hunter 2009, 374–5). In this case, China is utilizing its cultural resource, the
terracotta army, to propel themselves forward without the use of military or business tactics. It can be inferred that China is using peaceful means to
project its power onto the world stage, through culture, art, and artifact (Hunter 2008, 284). China is placing a highly orchestrated (literally, curated)
story into the minds and eyes of hundreds of thousands of exhibition goers in all of the powerful, wealthy, Western countries of the world. Specific
vocabulary is being used, specific music, imagery, and lighting, is being selected and projected. A very specific story is being told in each of these
exhibitions. The British Museum exhibition utilized imagery of stone faces, not illuminated to see the details, but drenched in stripes of darkness to
emphasize the mysterious, subterranean existence of the statues. (Portal and Kinoshita 2007). Press releases from Atlanta's High Museum emphasized
the "legacy" of the "iconic," magnificent warriors. (High Museum 2008). The Canadians called the Chinese culture "fascinating" and "captivating", and
again, emphasized the "legacy" of the army (Royal Ontario Museum 2010). And in Sydney, the story of The First Emperor: China's Entombed Warriors

"magical park," the more imaginative and elaborate it became" (justdisney.com). This vision that Walt Disney had was the vision of one of the most
well–known places on earth, Disneyland. Originally, he planned for the park to cover an area of 8 acres where his employees and families could go
to relax. However, World War II halted these plans that he had, which ultimately gave him more time to come up with more ideas for this vision, and
he came to the quick realization that 8 acres was not nearly enough. "Finally in 1953, he had the Stanford Research Institute conduct a survey for a
100–acre site, outside of Los Angeles. He needed space to build rivers, waterfalls, and mountains; he would have flying elephants and giant teacups; a
fairy–tale castle, moon rockets, and a scenic railway; all inside a magic kingdom he called 'Disneyland'" (justdisney.com). To him, location was his
top priority, and it would have to be in the Los Angeles area, while also being accessible by freeway, as well as affordable as he did not have much
money at the time. "The search for the best spot finally ended in the rural Anaheim, California with a purchase of a 160–acre orange grove near the
junction of the Santa Ana Freeway (I–5) and Harbor Boulevard" (justdisney.com). This would obviously be an expensive project so Walt had to turn to

Dennis Prager Research Paper
Dennis Prager once said, "Although images of perfection in people's personal lives can cause unhappiness, images of perfect societies, utopian
images, can cause monstrous evil. In fact, forcefully changing society to conform to societal images was the greatest cause of evil in the 20th
century." (Prager Dennis, Search Quote) The meaning of this upscale quote goes to show how our generation evolves into society. In general,
everyone wishes to live in a perfect world, with perfect, happy people, where no harm can be done. Each individual has their own way of wanting
"a perfect society." For example, it could be living in a world with no violence or war, and another person can think their "perfect society" would be
living in a world of equality amongst our peers. In other words, this perfect world that one would want to/ think they live in is called a Utopia. ... Show

Dennis Prager was the one to say that we can all live in this perfect world and have everything be okay, but the reality is, we will become happy

Disney's $17 million Disneyland theme park opened on July 17th, 1955 in Anaheim, California. After an interesting opening day involving several
mishaps (including the distribution of thousands of counterfeit invitations), the site became known as a place where children and their families could

Walt purposely strayed from the architectural world as much as possible, with his friend Welton Becket telling him "no one can design Disneyland for
you. You'll have to do it yourself." (1997 p.58) The result is a staged set found commonly in a back–lot of Hollywood. Its structure and design,
impression and trickery all indicate that this form is made to be theatrical with its actors, the masses that populate Disneyland and its props, the
attraction and rides. The Buildings, in truth, are basic in construction but elaborate in design like the unknown teenage entertainer performing behind
an iconic character costume. They are truthful in that their composition evokes happiness from the paying customers that expect as much, yet the
buildings try exceptionally hard to disguise the efforts put in place to make them as appealing as possible. After reading various criticisms on the
Disney parks, it is clear that many researchers and journalists experience a shift in opinion after understanding the logic behind the magic. Its
architecture is tainted with a memory of crass decisions and overly–planned projects designed to peddle products to the consumers; ensure high
expectations to the common devotee; and of course maintain a title that could only exist in an artificial landscape: 'The happiest place on earth'. In

down such as bankruptcy in their company, they corrected the mistakes and came out successful after creating the Mickey Mouse. The film was a great

production studio in Hollywood. He was very brilliant since he understood the benefits behind making quality productions. He organized his production

This quote said by Walt Disney, the founder of Disneyland and Disney World resembles all that Walt did. He came up with the idea to start a theme park for families and took it a bit further. Walt Disney had the courage to try and pursue his dream and it paid off. He was not afraid of failure and pursued his dream. Walt Disney World is the number one vacation spot in the world, and has evolved throughout the many years of construction, and hard work that was put into the park. Walt's death frazzled many team members; some even considered stopping the project all together and not continue with the construction of Disney World, ever. Walt's brother, Roy, saved the Disney Project and continued on with Walt's plans to build Disney World. The idea of EPCOT was one of the only parks not fulfilled in Walt's plans. No one totally understood which direction to take the project; the blueprint was very complex and few understood it (AllEars.net). After about a month of intervention, the construction of Disney World was back on track. October 1st was the date to shoot for the grand opening ordeals. It was this day when Roy made his tribute to his beloved brother, Walt. In his speech Roy said, "Walt Disney World is a tribute to the philosophy and life of Walter Elias Disney" (Startedbyamouse.com). Although the grand opening of the park was said to be a great success; there was only 10,000 visitors to the park. Some newscasters even deemed Disney World a failure. As the end of opening month rolled around, the number of visitors spiked dramatically. Walt Disney World soon became the number one vacation destination in the United ... I.Introduction A.Attention Getter: As Walt Disney once stated, "To all who come to this happy place, Welcome. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Hoping that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to the entire world (IMDb, n.d.)." B.Relevance: Walt Disney created Disneyland and Disneyworld because he believed that people who rushed to grow up were selling themselves short. He invented the theme parks in order to bring out the inner child in you, no matter your age. C.Credibility Statement: I feel as if everyone here was ecstatic to go away to college and start their life as an adult. But why? As Walt Disney said, "who said we had to grow up? (IMDb, n.d.)." D.Central Idea: Disneyworld is known worldwide as the "happiest place on earth." E.Initial Preview: We will learn how Disneyworld was created, and how it became such a universal phenomenon through annual events and their most famous attractions. II.Body Before we can discuss how Walt Disneyworld became a household name, we need to understand how it was developed. A.First of all, Disneyworld begun with Disneyland in California. However, Walt Disney started developing Walt Disney World to give the Eastern side of the United States the same joy as he did in California. 1)As stated from Palm Beach Post, in 1964 Walt Disney quietly bought 27,000 acres of the Central Florida swampland for "The Florida Project," known today as Disneyworld. (Frias, 2011) 2)The heart of Disneyworld was designed to be named "Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow." According to "History of Disney World" from lovetoknow.com, the park built its own energy plants, food centers, laundry, and their own airstrip to become the "self–sufficient and self–governed world" envisioned by Walt Disney. (Santiago, n.d.). 3)Sadly Walt Disney was not present for the opening of Walt Disneyworld Florida, due to his death from lung cancer. • 6. Taj Mahal Architecture The Taj Mahal The Taj Mahal is a great example of symmetry because the first half of the building corresponds perfectly with the other half of the building. Also, with the building reflecting off the water, you can see the beautiful mirror symmetry that is displayed. The pointed arches within a rectangular frame dominate the exterior facade of the main building. In the Taj Mahal, the graves of the Emperor and his wife lie in the center of an octagonal room. The drainage holes in some of the stones have a hexagonal pattern. The many domes in the Taj Mahal form circles at the bases. The diameter of the biggest dome is sixty feet long. History of the Taj Mahal: Shah Jahan, the fifth Emperor of the Mughal dynasty, built the building in twenty–one years. The Great Pyramid has four congruent triangles because each triangle has corresponding angles and corresponding sides that are congruent to each other. Though so many people know about this central Florida destination, very few know just exactly how it came about. In his book, Project Future, Chad Denver Emerson describes in detail the process Disney and his team went through in order to make his dream a reality. From finding the location for the project to finalizing legislations, Emerson recalls the efforts put in by so many and the difficulties they faced while doing so. Through this book, we see just how state and local government were put into use during the development of Project Future. With the huge success of Disneyland, Walt Disney became interested in working on another project on the East Coast. He had received many letters inquiring a Disney expansion in their state or city, but the majority received a response from Disney stating that he was not interested. Although, there were rare occasions when Walt's interest did pique, particularly in Niagara, New Jersey, and St. Louis, but nothing more than a few meetings and visits came out of this. Some of the exhibits displayed at the 1939 World's Fair such as Democracity and Futurama influenced many American community planners. The Levittown and Greenbelt projects followed the same guidelines of community that the 1939 World's Fair introduced. These are two of the more well known Garden City projects that took many families away from big cities and brought them to the peace and tranquility of the suburbs. Image borrowed from Waltopia. The similarities between Disney's dream and that of Ebenezer Howard are striking. Howard's Garden city was designed in concentric circles with the center of all the circles being a large garden and park that was encircled by a "Crystal Palace." In EPCOT, rings that formed the concentric layout of the city would divide the town. The outer–most circle would consist of the most modern houses of the time, and "would perpetually be remodeled to incorporate the latest technology" (Waltopia.com, 1999). The middle ring would consist of a massive green belt that would include churches, playgrounds, and schools. The innermost ring, and the most spectacular of all would be enclosed by a dome and would provide immediate access to the center of town. The hub of the innermost ring would be accented by an enormous and modern 30–story hotel that would act as the center of commerce for the city, much like the Crystal Palace did for Ebenezer's Garden City. As with mostplanned communities of the time such as Levittown and the Greenbelt Programs, the community members would be selected in order to form the most ideal society as possible and isolate them from the dangers of traditional public life. Becket's firm had designed buildings that lay on the Anaheim site and Walt took inspiration from his forms and relayed them to the team behind Project X. Mandatory Vaccination Should Be Mandatory Vaccinations Mandatory vaccinations should be required for all citizens in the U.S. Having mandatory vaccinations will allow for well protected future generations that are susceptible to less health issues. With everyone being vaccinated there will be less occurrences of these diseases and sicknesses allowing future generations a more healthy life with fewer visits to the doctor's office and hospital. Another reason to have mandatory vaccinations is that these vaccines are safe and approved by trusted medical organizations that give citizens advice on most other health issues. Because the vaccines are safe and trusted by professionals, there should be little resistance to having them be mandatory. Adverse reactions to vaccinations is a rare occurrence meaning there is minimal risk in implementing mandatory vaccinations. Also when children are given vaccines at a young age they will not have to pay to have them treated down the road. So with the possibility of healthier future generations, vaccines that are approved by medical professionals, minimal risk, and saving people money there is little reason to be against mandatory vaccination. After the Great Depression, Disney became a place where people could get away from their day–to–day life and experience a whole new world full of fantasies and inspiration through parades, movies, and attractions, while also recognizing all of America's achievements'. Parades are one of the main ways Disney promotes american values. Happiness is extremely important especially coming off of the Great Depression. Each parade celebrates America's achievements and creates inspiration. The Great Depression was an extremely hard time for many people and many Americans had lost hope and were very unhappy. Disney parades helped to spread joy to those who truly needed it and put them in the mindset that dreams can and do come true. Movies are another way Disney promotes American values. In this case, China is utilizing its cultural resource, the terracotta army, to propel themselves forward without the use of military or business tactics. Originally, he planned for the park to cover an area of 8 acres where his employees and families could go to relax. However, World War II halted these plans that he had, which ultimately gave him more time to come up with more ideas for this vision, and he came to the quick realization that 8 acres was not nearly enough. • 29. Dennis Prager Research Paper Dennis Prager once said, "Although images of perfection in people's personal lives can cause unhappiness, images of perfect societies, utopian images, can cause monstrous evil. In fact, forcefully changing society to conform to societal images was the greatest cause of evil in the 20th century." In general, everyone wishes to live in a perfect world, with perfect, happy people, where no harm can be done. Each individual has their own way of wanting "a perfect society." For example, it could be living in a world with no violence or war, and another person can think their "perfect society" would be living in a world of equality amongst our peers. Overall, Dennis Prager was the one to say that we can all live in this perfect world and have everything be okay, but the reality is, we will become happy with ourselves and our lives. With this unhappiness in the world, it can become our own monstrous evil. The Walt Disney Company, has since become an empire, and from the help of Michael Eisner during the Disney decade, a brand that cannot be easily avoided. Its presence has sprung up world–wide with no indication of slowing. The parks have transformed into a vernacular that can set up shop in any international environment. Unlike the buildings we commonly design today, Disneyland's have little regard to their context with a plain and simple desire to colonise for consumerism. After reading various criticisms on the Disney parks, it is clear that many researchers and journalists experience a shift in opinion after understanding the logic behind the magic. Its architecture is tainted with a memory of crass decisions and overly–planned projects designed to peddle products to the consumers; ensure high expectations to the common devotee; and of course maintain a title that could only exist in an artificial landscape: 'The happiest place on earth'.
