WARM-UP AND OBJECTIVE DISCUSSION
A. Introduction of today´s class
Good morning, as I was talking to you yesterday about the users of internet in US., Canada and
Australia, and after the discussion we had about it, I want to see how many of you had
downloaded the two charts uploaded at Moodle Platform.
Let me see the hands up of those who have understood the information described in the charts.
Student will be able to see the slides on a Power Point of the two charts shown on the board.
Student will understand in today´s class how to interpret the information in these two charts.

First of all, students will be able to differentiate the information shown in the charts.
Explaining the column chart. This chart is focusing the users by age.
Explaining the pie chart. This chart is showing the internet users by geographic location.

from 35-44 representing the (25%) years old, according with this source.

E. Guided practice:
I will display the bar/column chart which is the first slide with the information with the
internet users by age. I will ask students what they see on the chart. After to hear the
answer of all the students who participate in the discussion. I will give more details about
the information shown in the chart.
I will display the pie chart which is the second slide with the information with the internet
users by geographic location. I will ask students what they see on the chart. After to hear
the answer of all the students who participate in the discussion. I will give more details
about the information shown in the chart.
F. Independent Practice:
Students are going to do some search about different sources which may shows the
amount of user of internet in U.S., Canada and Australia.
I will give the students a source for them to do some search about internet user in the
U.S., Canada and Australia, and them; they will do some comparison with their own
research on Google.

G. Assessment:
I will give the students a copy of the charts, similar to the ones they looked at in class. So, the
students will write a paragraph summarizing the information the will find in their search about
the internet users in the U.S., Canada and Australia, in the website address given to them.

I will be asking some of the students to give their opinion about the information I will be giving to the class
about the topic I will be dealing.

Well, I will show the students some graphics with the information about the research of internet users in the
US, Canada and Australia, with all the details on both graphics, them, I ask questions concerning about the
details given to them to note if they had understood the information.

1. Independent practice activities.
The students will be provided with devices, such as laptop, tablet, Smartphone, others, so they can
browse the different sources of web pages about the percentages of young people aged 13 to 19
who use the Internet in the United States. , Canada and Australia.
2. Guided practice activities led by the teacher
Students will participate in a video that will be shown during the class in relation to how to perform
their search. This tutorial will likewise be sent to your devices through the use of your emails.
3. Do the independent practice activities allow students to show that they have understood
the instruction?
After observing the practical tutorial video on how to look for the information of adolescent
Internet users in the United States, Canada and Australia; students can complete their independent
practice without any problem.
