STATEMENT
United PAC has observed the appearance or voice on the news of Winston
Springer Sr. the SLP resident hench man and propagandist which
coincides with the fact that SLP is under extreme pressure regarding a
number of issues including and not limited to:
1) ALBA with associated ties to Iran, Syria, Argentina, Venezuela,
Ecuador, Nicaragua etc with the Prime Minister enjoying flights to
and from ALBA meetings in luxury on ALBA members states jets
while the populace suffers;
2) The Imminent sanctions to be imposed by the USA on ALBA
member States which will have crippling consequences on Saint
Lucia's already ailing economy.
3) RSLPF vs. US State Department, why has the US barred security
personnel from entering the US for training and suspended all
participation by the RSLPF in any activities financed by the US even
in the Regional Security System;
4) Mr. Grynberg’s Lawsuit against the Government and People of St.
Lucia:- to date Arbitrators have been appointed after agreement from
both parties in the persons of Mr. Siegfried H Elsing a German
National as president of the Arbitration Committee, Mr. Edward
Nottingham of the United States and Mr. Gavan Griffith of Australia
without informing or discussing with the people of St. Lucia;

5) Who will be footing the bill for the Attorneys Freshfields
Bruckhaus
Deringer,
New
York,
NY,
USA
and
Paris,
France
who
has
been
appointed
representatives
of
the
St.
Lucia
Government?
6) Should the people of St. Lucia via the taxpaying public foot the bill
as they were not informed of this agreement until it was exposed by
the now UWP opposition party;
7) Removal of Subsidy on flour, sugar and rice which has made it
impossible for poor people to get access to staples even though the
Ministry of Commerce has allowed the wholesalers to charge more at
the wholesale level.
8) Imposition of VAT on medication for the poor, sick, elderly and
helpless;
9) Inability of parents, particularly single parents to provide school
books, uniforms and other school essentials even with the subsidy the
SLP Government is providing.
United PAC request an explanation of items 1-6 for the benefit of the
taxpaying public and immediate relief on items 7-9 for our poor and
indigent persons of St. Lucia by curtailing on continued policy of
nepotism and payment of exorbitant salaries to persons such as Mr.
Springer at the expense of the poor taxpaying public.
