This document provides tips for choosing eyeglasses that fit one's face shape and complexion. It advises picking a frame shape that complements one's face shape, such as a round face wearing a rectangular frame. It also recommends considering how the frame color will look against one's skin tone, suggesting earth tones for fair or dark complexions. The story of a 13-year old girl who chose oversized "geek" glasses that were too big for her small face and clashed with her fair skin serves as a cautionary tale. Proper consideration of frame size, color, and how it matches one's face shape is emphasized.
2. Personal Story:
I once was helping a young girl about the age of 13 pick
out a pair of glasses. When I asked her what she had in
mind while she was picking out glasses herself with her
sister she responded “ geek ones”. Of course her dad was
hesitant about her choice but I explained right now this is
what is in style, so to satisfy her he let her pick out one
but also another pair for casual because he understood
what is in style today may not be tomorrow. This young
girl was very petite with a small face but yet she picked
out these big geek glasses that were black and swallowed
up her face. She also chose black, which is a fairly
common color for glasses, no problem right? Wrong! Due
to the fact the glasses were way bigger then her face and
she was fair skinned the glasses stood out way too much.
