2. Clearly, this is a blog from a single lady's perspective. So,
here it goes. Just because you are single does not mean
that you have to be at home moping all of the time.
Gather up a few of your friends and enjoy your life. This
blog has absolutely nothing to do with break-ups. It has
everything to do with friendship. I will list a few things
that we single friends can do to have a little fun and take
our minds off of work and being single - or whatever else
that may be going on in your life. I hope that you do one

3. 1. Go on an all Girl's Trip: Take a page from the housewives of
wherever and get on a plane out of town - sans the drama. Gather up
a gaggle of your single friend's and/or co-workers and go somewhere
tropical or freezing cold. It is up to you.

4. 2. Go to a Day Spa: If you can't afford to go out of
town or you don't have enough vacation time off, the
day spa should be a great place for you ladies to go
and relax. Get manis and pedis , massages, body
wraps, scrubs and facials

5. 3. Take a Cooking Class:
If you want to lure the opposite sex, adding a few
new dishes to your menu list won't hurt. Take your
girls and have a blast.

6. 4. Go to a Vineyard: Going wine tasting is a
great relaxing getaway with friends. You
get to walk around beautifully landscaped
grounds learning about the wine process.
Don't forget the actual tasting of the
different wines and having a delicious meal
and perhaps catching up with friends.

7. 5. Shopping Day: Those are always fun. Shopping and having dinner afterwards
with your girlfriends is always a great day. However, if shopping is out of your
budget - go window shopping instead.

8. 6. Help a Married Girlfriend: You don't always have to do things
with friends, you can also do things for friends. Go over to your
married friend's house and volunteer to help her with dinner.
You can also volunteer to babysit so that your married friend
can go on a date night with her husband.

9. 7.Dinner and a Movie:
You can go to a matinee or an evening movie
with friends and laugh or cry about the movie at
dinner.

10. 8. Attend
a Concert
or Music
Festival:
Nothing says
fun like going
out of town to a
music festival
with your girls.
Buy the cutest
outfits and head
for the airport.

11. 9. Go visit friends or
family out of state:
Take a friend or two to visit
your friends or family. They can
learn about you and the fun
times you had before meeting
them. Each year, a different
friend can get a chance to do
the same.

12. Passing on your knowledge and
becoming a role model for a
friend's child, neighbor, niece, or
cousin is something positive. It
always feels good when you are
helping someone else. It takes
your mind off of your own
problems. If you don't know any
young ladies personally - there
are organizations looking for
great women mentors. Do it as a
group project. You and your
friends will have a blast.
