To Whom It May Concern:
During the month of February, 2012, I co-trained a CSM class in New Delhi with Tushar Somaiya.
Toushar came to me via Jesse Fewell and we did not have a lot of time together before the actual
course. We did exchange course materials in email and we spent some time online reviewing each
other’s content which led to some modification of my basic CSM course for Tushar to deliver. I will say
that the end result was a great course and the class feedback was very positive.
My experience with Tushar was really positive. I have rarely met anyone with as much sheer joy and
exuberance and eagerness for all things Agile as I found in Tushar. This is a special quality that infects his
entire presentation and also his persona as instructor/trainer. It makes him very effective and it mixes
well with the real world experience he brings to the classroom.
I think for me the highlight of my time with Tushar was having him take me to school on the Penny
game. He ran the entire long version of the game and completely converted me from somebody who
felt that the game did not have a place in my teaching arsenal to a complete fan. Tushar ran the game
for almost an hour and he teased out all kinds of insightful lessons.
I enjoyed some long conversations with Tushar and heard many stories about his real world work with
Scrum and also his various Agile and Scrum community activities.
I feel like Tushar is ready to be a CST and I see in him a long future filled with growth as a trainer,
instructor, and coach.
