A film called "War Horse" directed by Steven Spielberg shows how a horse from a small British town is sold to the army when World War 1 begins in 1914. The horse fights with its rider for the British army but is later shot and recruited by the German army, passing through several owners on both sides until it is injured and reunited with its former master in the British army. The film depicts the harsh realities of war for soldiers and horses, showing how horses served both fronts during the war and the cruel conditions they faced in trenches. The students found that watching the film helped them learn new concepts and vocabulary to better understand the experience of World War 1.

The film that introduced us to the First World War in the IES
Matilde Salvador was entitled 'War Horse' and directed by
Steven Spielberg. In this, a particular horse from a small
British town is sold to serve the army when war breaks out
in 1914. With his rider, it fights in the war, but it’s shoot and
recruited by the German army. So goes through several
people to get hurt again by the British army where his
former master is located and the movie ends with their
reunion.
This movie shows the situation of war suffered by soldiers
and their level of bad life. But the basis of this movie is to
show the service they offered horses to each front and
show the cruel reality in areas such as murder or animal life
in the trenches. In conclusion, we believe that the activity of
the film has helped us to learn new concepts and assimilate
new information that we did not have before. And we want
to thank our teacher Gema because she gave us English
vocabulary to make the movie understandable.
