Tiia Eerola attended Upper Secondary School in Hämeenlinna and took her matriculation examinations in March. She applied to study international business at HAMK University of Applied Sciences without a specific reason for choosing that program. After her exams, she prepared for and took the entrance exams, which went better than expected as she was accepted into the program. Over the summer, she relaxed before it was time to start her university studies, traveling daily by bus between Hämeenlinna and Valkeakoski, hoping she made the right choice in her program.
2. I was a student at Upper Secondary School
called ’Kaurialan lukio’ in Hämeenlinna.
After the change of the year I studied for
matriculation examinations.
Most of the exams were in March.
I also had to decide what I wanted to do
next, so I applied for international business
in HAMK university of applied sciences.
I don’t have any specific reason for why I
chose it.

3. After taking the exams I started preparing for
the entrance exams.
The exam went better than I thought. Well, I
got in, which was a surprise.
The next step was to graduate from Upper
Secondary School.
Summer was time for relaxing, and not
thinking so much about school.

4. It was time to start studies.
Every day I travel between Hämeenlinna and
Valkeakoski by a bus.
I expect my English skills to get better during
these months.
I hope I made the right choise when applying
for this university.
