3. THE EVOLUTION OF THE INTERNET FROM WEB 1.0 TO
WEB 4.0
• From the 1980s, when personal
computers entered our lives, to the
1990s, when the internet started to
be widely used, and to the present
day, many developments and
changes have occurred in the
internet and related technologies. In
the early 2000s ,the internet has
become an indispensable part of our
lives and a sea where we have
endless interaction with each other
without borders.
4. • Especially in the last 20 years, with the use of the features
offered by internet connections, there have been rapid
advances in web technologies in all areas of our lives, from
social life to education, from communication to trade.
5. • While the number of internet users is increasing day by day, the
web and internet have been redesigned and modified over the
years to accommodate different users and different devices.
Depending on the technological developments recorded,
different internet periods have emerged until today, including
Web 1.0, Web 2.0, Web 3.0 and Web 4.0.
• And Now ,Let's take a look at What is Web 1.0;
6. WHAT IS WEB 1.0 ?
• Web 1.0 is the most basic format and is text-oriented only. It
continued until the 1990s and was the most primitive form of
the web. Web 1.0 allowed users to access the Web using the
Internet, and the user was merely a reader. The user was
basically a passive subject; They were merely recipients of
information, or the public was denied the opportunity to
interact on a page.
7. • The Web 1.0 period which experts defined as a "read-only
web", the internet was used as an online library consisting of
fixed content and one-way information flow. The role of the
average internet user was limited to reading the information
presented to him. In this period when HTML-based company
web pages were common, the user did not have the authority to
add or comment on any content.
8. • The first website published in
the world is now 28 years old.
In other words, the world first
met the www 28 years ago.
This website was published on
December 20, 1990. It was in
1991 that he really met
people. This website only
explained how the hypertext-
based www project worked.
9. WIKIPEDIA IS THE
MOST FAMOUS AND
THE BEST EXAMPLE
OF
WEB 1. 0
• Web 1.0 includes one-way websites that allow Internet users to
obtain only information. On these one-way websites, users
cannot participate in the content in any way. As we said, it is a
genre where they only take information and leave. WEB 1.0
forms the basis of the web system. In other words, it is the
milestone of the internet...
10. • Here, all the power was
embodied in the web expert -
the content manager. This
primitive web was centralized,
sequential, reading-oriented,
and non-interactive. They had
features like using emails, using
browsers and search engines.
• If a web page only displays
information and does not allow
interaction, it is part of web 1.0.
On the contrary, the one that
allowed interaction and was
shaped by the contributions of
users was called web 2.0.
11. • When it comes to addressing the differences between Web 1.0
and 2.0, it is seen that this is not just a difference in
technology in services - although there is a natural
advancement in hardware. At the beginning of the millennium,
first of all, the final state of the network, the forms taken by
objects and users, and the information they
accessed, changed silently and profoundly.
12. • Thus, the Internet became a universal data collection, a
revolutionary change that saved millions of users from being
passive collections. Although forums and chat date back to web
1.0, there was also a change in their traditional formats...
Browsing with web 1.0 was like visiting a shopping mall, where
you could find different prices from different stores, but you
couldn't try on the clothes there?
