1. LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE, llc: Stay On
Your (4-P’s) & Q’s Guide For Our Company
Branding
Presented by Brandon Lanford Willis,
Director of Marketing
2. FORWARD:
Special Thanks to: ‘The Cross’ Advertising firm,
because I am a firm believer that Jesus
marketed his LOVE for me by dying on the cross
for my sins. This is a moment I had to take out
to let my beloved audience know that God is no
celebrity he will reply back to your messages
and answer your prayers.
3. The Golden Rule; Marketing Slogan you
will never 4get!!!
Luke 6:31 – “And as you wish that others would do to you, do
so to them.”
7. THE MIX; Brand you!, List Savings, Advertise
word-of-mouth, channel into a network
8. Let Your Light Shine operates with
honor, dignity and compassion. So
Be Sincere in you approach when
seeking donations, etc.
9. Develop a brand narrative
• At the core of the Bible is a strong narrative and it is this narrative
that has resulted in the message of Christianity being shared so
widely and for so long. It tells a story that’s connects and engages
with its audience. What story do you tell? Who do
you tell it to? -
10. Create a framework to do
business by
• At the heart of the Bible and Christianity is the
10 Commandments. These 10 rules are the
framework from which the Bible and other
Christian teachings and writings stem from.
Create your own set of brand rules,
establishing your tone of voice, your core
beliefs and your core values. You might even
want to write down your own 10 Business
Commandments.
11. Include multiple touch points for our online
customers to engage with you!!
• The Bible is just one of the touch points in
Christianity. As a brand Christianity provides a variety of
different touch points for their customers to engage with their
message. These include Hymns, Sermons, Testimonies (user
generated content), Art etc. How many different ways
are you engaging with your customers,
connecting with them and reinforcing your
message?
12. Bea thought leader
• A central character in the New Testament, is Jesus who is the
expert, the storyteller, the one you get behind and support.
Christians buy into His story/stories. He is the thought leader that
provides, guidance, support, encouragement and insight. How
are you the thought leader for your
customers?
13. Branding our Personality
• There is a lot to be said about promoting your brand
through a recognizable character/persona someone
that appeals to your customer’s tastes and can
promote your brand through dialogue. Jesus
provided a personal touch. He was visible and spoke
to the people in a language that they understood –
through story and parables. In modern day we have
great examples of similar characters i.e. Steve Jobs,
Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey
14. Give our audience Something to talk
about on a consistent note!
• Any promotion is good promotion when you
are baiting for God. The Bible is littered with
stories and personal accounts of encounters
with God and with Jesus that they just had to
share with each other and with us. Give your
customers an ah-mazing experience that they
just cant help talking about it and sharing
with others.
15. Let Your Preaching Shine with your
actions displaying what you preach:
• Jesus and His followers did just that
everywhere they went (even when it was
unpopular) they shared their story and
established their brand. Even the people that
hated them and persecuted them were clear
about what they stood for and their story. –
