2. The Hives formed In 1993 and since then the
band has released one demo tape, four EPs, five
studio albums, one compilation album and one
live DVD.
3. Studio recorded albums
• The Hives’ first album, Barely Legal, was produced under the labels
Burning Heart/Epitah and released 22 September 1997.
• The second album, Veni Vidi Vicious, was again with Burning
heart, as well as Sire/Reprise. The album was released 10 April 2000
• The Hives’ third album, entitled Tyrannosaurus Hives, was recorded
with a completely new label; Interscope. The album was released
19 July 2004.
• ‘The Black and White Album’ is the title of The Hives’ 4th studio
album, released 15 October 2007, with the labels A&M/Octone
records.
• The latest Hives’ album is titled ‘Lex Hives’ released 1 June 2012
and again with a different label, this time ‘Disque Hives’
