  2. 2. Assignment <ul><li>Students will work in groups to create a newscast about space </li></ul><ul><li>Groups assigned by Mrs. Collins based on planets </li></ul><ul><li>Every student must talk about space during newscast </li></ul>
  3. 3. Parts of Newscast <ul><li>Social Studies – Major stories </li></ul><ul><li>Science – Man vs. Planet </li></ul><ul><li>Language Arts – interview with an astronaut </li></ul>
  4. 4. Each group will need: <ul><li>research on each topic to create newscast </li></ul><ul><li>Written script for each part </li></ul><ul><li>Practice – acting </li></ul><ul><li>Should have lots of energy and project should be entertaining to watch – NOT BORING!! </li></ul>
  5. 5. Schedule <ul><li>Monday – research ESA assignment </li></ul><ul><li>Tuesday – write script and practice </li></ul><ul><li>Wednesday – Videotape </li></ul><ul><li>Thursday – Videotape </li></ul><ul><li>Friday – Computer Lab – fix it up </li></ul>
