2. Location and Access
The park is some
350 km north of
Adelaide.Access is
via the sealed road
from Hawker, 35
km south, or via the
unsealed road from
Blinman ,13 km
north.
3. Climate
The area has hot,
dry summers and
cool winters. Visit
in autumn, winter
and spring.
4. Flora
Towering red river gums
line the creeks in this dry
country, while groves of
callitris and stands of
sugar gums break up the
grassy plains where
wildflowers proliferate in
springtime. Eucalypts
and native pines grow on
the slopes of the ranges.
5. Fauna
Red kangaroos and euros are common, and
yellow-footed rock wallabies may sometimes be
seen. Other common mammals include the western
little mastiffcat, bats, foxes, goats and rabbits.
6. Other Activites
The rocky terrain
offers many
opportunities for rock
climbing. The park is
a favourite area for
landscape artists and
photographers.Sceni

and mountains.
