Tim Lam – Industry Expert Finally Stepping into the Limelight
With a background in designing and producing super high-end, exclusive, and luxury
furniture, it’s not surprising that Tim Lam’s passion is to bring similarly elegant furnishings to
market. But for the first time he’s willing to come out from behind the proverbial curtain.
His familiarity with and expertise in areas including exotic materials, marquetry inlays,
classic designs, antique reproductions was honed through years of working behind the
scenes with several world famous designers in England, France, Spain, Italy, Australia and
the US, including James Burch, Scarborough, and Studio.
Over the past twenty-five years Lam has either directly controlled or consulted with
factories on all aspects of product creation from initial concept design through selection
of materials, construction and finishing. He has owned a domestic furniture
manufacturing facility in the US and has had partnerships with overseas factories. The
result is that he has quietly built a respected reputation for his successes in subjects
ranging from strategic sourcing and financing to product engineering and
marketing/sales.
Lam’s breadth of construction and design experience, understanding of the luxury
furniture market and passion for product development is now being brought to bear in
designs where he has become the face of high end, custom hospitality and residential
furniture manufacturer.
