hasbeenprovedasaneffectivewaytopromote
non-automobileuseofthestreets,andreducethe
car-dependencywhentravellinginthebasinarea.
Thecompletestreettransformationalsoalignswith
thetransportationgoalsfromcity’scomprehensive
plan-PlanCincinnati,whichwasadoptedin2012.
MostofthetransformationrecommendationswereMostofthetransformationrecommendationswere
meanttobelowcostand“quick-win”approaches,
suchasrepaintingsurfacemarkingsandslightly
trafficsignalimprovements.However,tofurther
promotenon-automobileuseofthestreetforthe
furtherfuture,somelongtermapproachessuchasa
streetcarextensionhavebeenrecommended.

Werecommendtoslightlynarrowthegreenbeltandmovebikelanesonsidewalks.Thespacethatpreviousbeingusedbybikescannowbeusedforonstreetparkingas

curbextensionswillbeinstalledinfavorofcrossingpedestrians.
