17,044,496 tickets when it came out on cinema. Dracula wasn’t as successful as this
and only sold $11,430,810. When scream came out it sold $21,253,204 tickets, and
has only gotten more popular over time, which is why there has been 3 more scream
movies released. Because of the popularity of the first movie, Scream 2 sold
18,625,717 tickets.

some other movies only selling 3,652,066. I am legend sold 29,960,694 tickets,
yet this doesn’t include many of the features that a horror movie has. It was more like
a thriller than a horror yet was more successful than some of Warner Bro’s other
horrors.

brought in just a little bit less 110,175,871 in only the USA.
