3. Gliding Windows
• Essentially it’s a window that you can glide or slide to the left or right in order to
open
• A good advantage to these windows is that they’re easy to open and don’t
project outward taking up additional space
• While it is a sliding window, the space is usually large enough to be used in an
emergency evacuation scenario
• You can add a fixed screen to the window
• A con to these windows is that you can only open one side at a time. If you think
bout it, to open it from one side, that part of the window would glide over the
other half leaving two panels on one side and an opening on the other
• The cost for these windows can be as cheap as $80 and as expensive as $930
5. Skylight Windows
• A skylight window is a roof that’s installed in your ceiling showcasing the
sky
• While some are fixed, others can open for ventilation
• Some great aspects to these windows are some come with blinds and
coated glass controlled by a remote control to help with UV rays
• Another cool thing about these windows is that it provides light in places
you wouldn’t normally need light for like an attic or closet
• A major con about these windows is that in order to clean the outside of
the window, you’ll have to get on your roof being that that’s where it’s
located
• These windows can cost anywhere from $150 to $1,500
