“Find something you’re passionate

What works for me
networking
create a tribe
ask for what you want
always negotiate
exceed their expectations
What works for me
be innovative, avoid
copycats/sameys
constantly return to why
you started in the first place
promote others more than
yourself
be humble & professional
make sure your site is easy
to navigate & there’s a way
to contact you!
Someone else’s success does not
diminish mine. In fact, it makes mine that
more possible.
“It’s about not
letting fear take
over but letting it
empower you.”
-Sheryl Sandberg
COO of Facebook
“Service to others is the rent you pay
for your room here on earth.”

Be patient. Success and opportunities
don't come overnight. Work hard, be
true to yourself and your brand, and
good things will come! Don't be afraid to
ask the blogging community for advice,
the community is filled with talented and
generous people. Always go with your
gut. If you don't feel good about
something, it is probably best to say no.
And it is ok to say no!

You don't have to listen to everything people
tell you--even if those people are more
experienced or more well-known than you are.
You know what's right for you, and you know
your audience better than anyone else does. If
I could go back and change anything about my
early days as a blogger, I would have listened
to my gut more and other people less. I
wanted to rebrand for several months and I let
other bloggers talk me out of it; rebranding
ended up being the best decision I made for
my blog.
Don’t...
put all your eggs in one
basket
social media
Do...diversify
believe there’s a pattern for
success
invest in the wrong people
bash pitches or companies
publicly (unless that’s your
schtick)
Key Takeaways
pave your own way and
“Run your own race.” -
Darren Rowse, problogger.net
don’t get jealous, be
inspired
be the best YOU that you
can be
it’s ALL about building
relationships
Remember to get a life...
