Yelnats has to try and overcome his
own past families curse. He has first
gotten himself in just enough trouble to
find himself at an all boys camp for
troubled kids. This place is called Camp
Green Lake. The setting is a hot and
dry desert with many other boys with
the same qualities as Stanley.
Throughout the novel we can follow
Stanley as he overcomes his own fears
and finds his own self esteem. Stanley
also meets new friends and enemies
along his personal journey to

Holes
So if you like the sounds of what
you have been hearing so far
come along and join us with
reading Holes. You can learn
about the merciless warden that
overseas the camp Stanley is sent
to and you can also learn about
the grueling task she sets aside
for the boys at Camp Green Lake.
If you like friendship you may
also enjoy this book and finding
out who Stanley meets along the
way. I will give the one hint that
the other boy is named Zero.
What kind of name is Zero? You
will just have to read and find out
for yourself. If you don’t read the
book you may never now if Zero
just may be a Hero!

of Canada in a small Cessna airplane

wilderness of the north. Brian is
forced to survive on his own with
nothing but a small hatchet. He

and see his family again. Along the
way he fight his own personal
demons and he tries to understand

from what Brian learned to save your own
life. Do you think you could survive on
your own? Do you think you can survive
reading this book? We will see!
