5. Our oxide copper patina has been produced by using copper and copper oxide. Our copper oxide is the
Samsung Metal’s patented metal oxidant chemical that produces the reaction of the oxidisation with the
natural copper through a processing method formed on the copper’s surface. After this process you
immediately have the green patina copper that would normally take 40 years to be reached in natural
environments. The patina copper is just as malleable and performs as well as any other copper products.
The copper patina applied is not detrimental to the original copper in any way. The copper will still
maintain its general life expectancy as standard milled copper. Being a copper material and being a
patina is a self-sacrificial metal, therefore any scratches that may occur will self-repair over a period of
time in the same way as natural copper.

Samsung Metal's brown coppers come in a light and dark color, creating two different distinctive
appearances. With our darker brown copper, it is sometimes considered bronze in appearance. As for our
light copper, this has the appearance of freshly milled material and with a simple rotation of the product
during installation it can appear to have a different color creating a beautiful visual look. With our special
chemical treatment of M20 onto the natural coppers and our natural organic clear coating, we are able to
produce these two wonderful products.

Samsung Metal’s oxidization of stainless steel products is created through the process of oxidizing the
stainless steel by chemically advancing the material to the required patina. By basing this product in light,
antique, dark grey and brown we have been able to produce the material to represent many other
architectural finishes even for some large and special orders, these tones can be changed to suit the
project. With the stainless steel coat being in 304 stainless steel and the external patina coat organically
being applied to the outside of the material we are able to produce a very high quality product.
