2. PROPOSAL 1
Inspired by the work and drawings of Aubrey
Beardsley, along with the work of Ariel Belinco and
his work in visual game development, my idea is to
create a video game to be used as an application
on a smartphone device.
The idea is to create a platform game, in which the
main character Aubrey Beardsley is walking
through Pimlico, his area of work, and as he walks
through the area it changes into his own art style
as if he’s painting the area with his artwork,
showing his artistic influence on society.
In the game he will jump over objects and collect
pieces of his artwork, which the gamer will then
receive information about, making the app
educational on Beardsley’s work and life.
The app will be animated, with moving character
animations such as running and jumping, as well
as characters from his artwork animated in the
background, flowing through the platform game.
3. PROPOSAL 2
Just like the first prototype, the app will be about
Aubrey Beardsley, however instead the app will be
about the work of many different designers, an
app where the user would be able to choose
different designers to play and collect artwork
with – the example however would be about
choosing Aubrey Beardsley and using him, alike
the first one, however rather than advertising
Aubrey Beardsley the game would be about
educating schools about the design history of
London, including designers such as Harry Beck,
the designer of the London underground map.
4. PROPOSAL 3
This prototype would be like another app design,
however unlike the other two being a game, the
app would be more of an informative, educational
app about the life of Aubrey Beardsley, using
animations of his work coming to life, as if a
gallery was opening up on his work and the app
was used to support the viewers of the gallery,
giving the users more information on Aubrey
Beardsley, such as –
- Information about his life
- Information about his work, as well as
information on where they are in the gallery.
