These 20 min will decide, you are there or not,
So, why not prepare well for this 20 min drama,
If you succeed & get the job, for the next 20 years, no one will ask you , “Tell me something
about your self” or,
“What are your strengths and weaknesses.
Please prepare for the these questions they will be asked to you during the interview :
Q : Tell me some thing about you.
Ans : Prepare for this question. Do not have a scriptive answer for this Q or do not mug up the words, they give
a negative impact, 1st impression is the last one.
Start with your name,
where you belong to
Your qualification
Your Work experience
Your achievements in the past with the present and previous companies, that what interviewer want to
hear, don make it very heavy, tell 2-3 achievements for sure
Talk about your family, what your parents do and your siblings do?
In the end tell about your hobbies in a very passionate way, with the expression you love to do these
things. Avoid saying “ I love reading books, watching movies, playing cricket & Making friends”, these
were talked 30 years before.

experience for the job he may land-up deciding that you are not the right fit-character for their organization, so
why take chance.
80% of the time interviewer decides to select/reject the candidates based on the answer to the question “Tell me
something about yourself” or Situation (-ve)he may decide to go further with the interview with the positive
mind-frame or should he just ask formality questions.
So, you have to decide you how to control the psychology of the interviewer by sending the 1st impression very

Q : What do you know about the company you have come for the interview?
Ans : One day before go through the website of the company and have these 3 information ready with you:
Where is the company based
What do they do, their products and services
Any of the recent news (related to financial decisions, new growth plan, information through media),
which might flash on the website or you may gather from Google or other sources.
Q : Which position you are here for the interview?
Ans : Know the position you are going for and read the job description. Most of the people answer this question
this way ……”Well I don-now” or, they think to much sound confused. Or, they would give the wrong position
eg….”Well I think I am here for the finance Executive….no no no I think I am here for the Accounts
Executive…..may be something in Finance or accounts”.
This would turn the interviewer to Situation (-ve)
Q : Tell me about your job responsibilities in the present company you are working for.
Ans : one day before, make a list of the work your do for your present company. Keep the list simple and short,
write only the key work in bullet-points and try
Q : Why do you want leave your present job or why did you leave the X organization you were working
with?
Ans : This is avery important question, despite all the satisfactory answers if the answer to this question is not
given correctly the interviewer will turn to Situation (-ve)
What should be your answer?
Remember one thing : your answer should not have anything negative in to it, like I want to leave because I am
less paid, I am not give promotion in last 2 years, By Boss doesn’t know anything, my work is not challenging,
my work has gone monotonous.

Q : What are your strengths and Weaknesses?
Q : Why should we hire you, or, why do you think you deserve this job?
Ans : Because I have all the relevant experience and qualification to do the job. You should hire me because of
my ability to perform, you should hire me because I am positive about the organization and I am very exited to
do the work attached to this profile.
Q : Why do you want to join our organization?
Ans : As per my study it a good brand, growing organization.
Q : Where do you see your self 2or, 5 years down the line?
Ans : Tell a realistic position you will be after 5 years, a realistic role you will be performing and most
important know how will you achieve it.
Interviewer want to know how ambitious you are, how realistic you are in planning your career.
Don’t give answers like : I want to be the CEO, may be you want to, keep that secret upto you. Make the
interviewer hear what he wants to hear, if you want this job so badly.
Q : When can you join us or, how much time you need to join us?
Ans : Give a bigger bracket : 15-30 Days. Say as per my current company’s policy we need to give min 30 days
notice, but even if the requirement is to join early, I can work it out.
Q : Whats your Current Salary and how much do you expect?
Ans : Always know this well in advance, also have the Break-up of your current salary in your mind. If possible
carry a copy of your latest salary slip, this may help the interviewer to process your offer-letter faster.
Q : What are your major achievements in your career?
Ans : Have min 2 ready from your current job and 2 from your previous job.
