Topic: Food. Restaurants.
Objectives: to recollect and practice vocabulary related to the topic of the
lesson; to practice pupil’s comprehensiveand communicative skills;
to develop pupil’s socio-linguistic and comprehensiveskills;
to widen pupil’s knowledgeon the topic.
Equipment: computer, pictures, flash cards, tableware.
Timing: 45 minutes.
Procedure.
1. Introduction.
T. Dear pupils and our guests, we are very happy to see you today in our fantastic
restaurant. During this lesson we are going to try many delicious dishes and to take
part in different exciting competitions, weare going to repeat everything we know
about food, eating habits of different nationalities, some grammar rules. We are
going to show how we behave in the restaurants. I hopeour dinner will be
interesting and no one get bored.
2. Main part.
2. P.1 – Fantasy is the new family restauranton 20 Lypnia Street. And it’s open for
lunch and dinner every day.
The food is very well cooked. There are a lot of tasty dishes to chosefrom,
such as roastchicken, grilled fish and many others. Don’tmiss the chance to try
Fantasy’s home-madebread – it’s delicious. For dessert, havea slice of the chef’s
superb apple pie, or a bowl of Fantasy’s specialice-cream.
P.2- A meal for two people costs about 50 hryvnyas. Theserviceis excellent, with
very helpful and friendly waiters. The restaurantis open fromeleven in the
morning till eleven in the evening.
Fantasy is a great restaurantfor any occasion, but it is very busy, so don’t
forget to book a table first.
T. so, it’s justthe beginning of the working day and we are waiting for our visitors.

W.- Certainly. And for the main course?
M.- I’d like grilled fish.
W.- I’ m sorry, butthere is no grilled fish tonight.
M.- Oh no. do you have the roastchicken than?
3. W.- Of course.
L.- I’d likea pepper steak.
W.- Sure. Would you like something to drink?
L.- Justsome water, please.
T. Our restaurantis not only a great place to eat and drink. We can also entertain
here and to have a wonderfulcompetition. And the prize in this competition is the
fantastic dessert. Areyou ready to take part in our game?

slices of sausages. Thereare three green peppers and a hot dog too.
3.Conclusion.
Pupils receive presents. The winner is chosen.
T. The restaurantis closed already. We have to go, but let’s remind all pleasant
moments wehad during the lesson. Let’s repeat what weknow about the
restaurants, grammar rules wehave to know when we talk about food, words
connected with food and dinks.
