Тема: Їжа. Ресторани
Тип уроку: застосування знань, вмінь, навичок.
Topic: Food. Restaurants.
Objectives: to recollect and practice vocabulary related to the topic of the
lesson; to practice pupil’s comprehensiveand communicative skills;
to develop pupil’s socio-linguistic and comprehensiveskills;
to widen pupil’s knowledgeon the topic.
Equipment: computer, pictures, flash cards, tableware.
Timing: 45 minutes.
Procedure.
1. Introduction.
T. Dear pupils and our guests, we are very happy to see you today in our fantastic
restaurant. During this lesson we are going to try many delicious dishes and to take
part in different exciting competitions, weare going to repeat everything we know
about food, eating habits of different nationalities, some grammar rules. We are
going to show how we behave in the restaurants. I hopeour dinner will be
interesting and no one get bored.
2. Main part.
P.1 – Fantasy is the new family restauranton 20 Lypnia Street. And it’s open for
lunch and dinner every day.
The food is very well cooked. There are a lot of tasty dishes to chosefrom,
such as roastchicken, grilled fish and many others. Don’tmiss the chance to try
Fantasy’s home-madebread – it’s delicious. For dessert, havea slice of the chef’s
superb apple pie, or a bowl of Fantasy’s specialice-cream.
P.2- A meal for two people costs about 50 hryvnyas. Theserviceis excellent, with
very helpful and friendly waiters. The restaurantis open fromeleven in the
morning till eleven in the evening.
Fantasy is a great restaurantfor any occasion, but it is very busy, so don’t
forget to book a table first.
T. so, it’s justthe beginning of the working day and we are waiting for our visitors.
( pupils act out the scenes in the restaurantand have sits at the two tables)
For example:
Waiter(W.) – Good evening, sir. Table for two?
Mister(M.) – Yes, please.
W. – Here you are. This way, please.
Lady(L.) – Thank you.
W. –Would you like to look at the menu?
L. – Yes, thank you.
W. –May I take your order, please?
M.- Yes, to startwith, I’d like the chicken soup.
L.- Chicken soup for me too, please.
W.- Certainly. And for the main course?
M.- I’d like grilled fish.
W.- I’ m sorry, butthere is no grilled fish tonight.
M.- Oh no. do you have the roastchicken than?
W.- Of course.
L.- I’d likea pepper steak.
W.- Sure. Would you like something to drink?
L.- Justsome water, please.
T. Our restaurantis not only a great place to eat and drink. We can also entertain
here and to have a wonderfulcompetition. And the prize in this competition is the
fantastic dessert. Areyou ready to take part in our game?
T. I’vegota magic chestfull of differenttasks. The teams are going to take every
next task fromthe chest, read it aloud and be ready to play the game.
Task1 .
Fill in the proper word. ( pupils read the sentences from the computer)

Team work. The task of each team is to write as many as possibledishes in the
menu.
Task 3.
Let’s go shopping.
Pupils go to the blackboard one by one and take the card. They read the word
written on the card, match it to the word on the blackboard and act out the
dialogue using the phrase.

Loaf bread

Task 4.
Fill in and play out the dialogue.

Task 5.
Correctthe mistakes.(pupils read the tasks fromthe computer)

5. I’d like eggs, but I don’t like bacon.
6. Could I have a butter please?
7. How much apples do we have?
8. She doesn’tneed someeggs.
Task 6.
Fill in the fridge .
There are seven apples. There is a little milk in the bottle. There aren’t any carrots,
but there are two tomatoes, six potatoes, four eggs, a piece of pizza and a bottle of
beer. There isn’t any cheese or ham, but there is somehoney in the bawland some
slices of sausages. Thereare three green peppers and a hot dog too.
3.Conclusion.
Pupils receive presents. The winner is chosen.
T. The restaurantis closed already. We have to go, but let’s remind all pleasant
moments wehad during the lesson. Let’s repeat what weknow about the
restaurants, grammar rules wehave to know when we talk about food, words
connected with food and dinks.

  • 1. Урок у 5 класі Тема: Їжа. Ресторани Тип уроку: застосування знань, вмінь, навичок. Topic: Food. Restaurants. Objectives: to recollect and practice vocabulary related to the topic of the lesson; to practice pupil’s comprehensiveand communicative skills; to develop pupil’s socio-linguistic and comprehensiveskills; to widen pupil’s knowledgeon the topic. Equipment: computer, pictures, flash cards, tableware. Timing: 45 minutes. Procedure. 1. Introduction. T. Dear pupils and our guests, we are very happy to see you today in our fantastic restaurant. During this lesson we are going to try many delicious dishes and to take part in different exciting competitions, weare going to repeat everything we know about food, eating habits of different nationalities, some grammar rules. We are going to show how we behave in the restaurants. I hopeour dinner will be interesting and no one get bored. 2. Main part.
  • 2. P.1 – Fantasy is the new family restauranton 20 Lypnia Street. And it’s open for lunch and dinner every day. The food is very well cooked. There are a lot of tasty dishes to chosefrom, such as roastchicken, grilled fish and many others. Don’tmiss the chance to try Fantasy’s home-madebread – it’s delicious. For dessert, havea slice of the chef’s superb apple pie, or a bowl of Fantasy’s specialice-cream. P.2- A meal for two people costs about 50 hryvnyas. Theserviceis excellent, with very helpful and friendly waiters. The restaurantis open fromeleven in the morning till eleven in the evening. Fantasy is a great restaurantfor any occasion, but it is very busy, so don’t forget to book a table first. T. so, it’s justthe beginning of the working day and we are waiting for our visitors. ( pupils act out the scenes in the restaurantand have sits at the two tables) For example: Waiter(W.) – Good evening, sir. Table for two? Mister(M.) – Yes, please. W. – Here you are. This way, please. Lady(L.) – Thank you. W. –Would you like to look at the menu? L. – Yes, thank you. W. –May I take your order, please? M.- Yes, to startwith, I’d like the chicken soup. L.- Chicken soup for me too, please. W.- Certainly. And for the main course? M.- I’d like grilled fish. W.- I’ m sorry, butthere is no grilled fish tonight. M.- Oh no. do you have the roastchicken than?
  • 3. W.- Of course. L.- I’d likea pepper steak. W.- Sure. Would you like something to drink? L.- Justsome water, please. T. Our restaurantis not only a great place to eat and drink. We can also entertain here and to have a wonderfulcompetition. And the prize in this competition is the fantastic dessert. Areyou ready to take part in our game? T. I’vegota magic chestfull of differenttasks. The teams are going to take every next task fromthe chest, read it aloud and be ready to play the game. Task1 . Fill in the proper word.   • 4. Drinks………………………………………. Team work. The task of each team is to write as many as possibledishes in the menu. Task 3. Let’s go shopping. Pupils go to the blackboard one by one and take the card. They read the word written on the card, match it to the word on the blackboard and act out the dialogue using the phrase. Could I have a butter please? 7. How much apples do we have? 8. She doesn’tneed someeggs. Task 6. Fill in the fridge . There are seven apples. There is a little milk in the bottle. There aren’t any carrots, but there are two tomatoes, six potatoes, four eggs, a piece of pizza and a bottle of
  • 6. beer. There isn’t any cheese or ham, but there is somehoney in the bawland some slices of sausages. Thereare three green peppers and a hot dog too. 3.Conclusion. Pupils receive presents. The winner is chosen. T. The restaurantis closed already. We have to go, but let’s remind all pleasant moments wehad during the lesson. Let’s repeat what weknow about the restaurants, grammar rules wehave to know when we talk about food, words connected with food and dinks.
