1. Freedom My Natural hair Journey Month 4 and counting!!!!
2. My hair was very thin with a lot of breakage. At this point the front of my hair was breaking off and my hair color was green due to bleaching my hair and later adding a black rinse. I put heat to my hair on the regular and it was far from being healthy…
4. … so I began rock to sew-ins, quick weave and sometimes ill just glue in pieces to my scalp, failing to realize what I was doing to my hair…I didn’t care because the weave covered all the breakage and unhealthy hair.
5. Undecided about going natural and the big chop I continued to wear weaves however I did avoid relaxing my hair…. Feb 2010 Looking great for CIAA WKND!!!
6. ...I feared I wouldn’t be accepted with the natural look, and I wouldn’t stand out with natural hairstyles such as afros etc., it was so hard to build the confidence to walk away from my security blanket which were relaxers and weaves….
