Context: One of the students played did finger painting with children enjoyed
specially Steffan who stayed in the activity the longest.
Observation:
It was after lunch time and one of the other students from Centennial was doing finger
painting as one of her activities with children. I noticed that all children enjoyed the
finger painting a lot but specifically Steffan who stayed in the activity the longest.
Cue: Painting was the area of interest
Experience Selected:
I decided to do floor painting to give children a different environment then usual table
chair to work on. This experience is designed to allow children to use their imagination to
draw anything they want to draw on the board. I will be putting three huge bristle boards
on the floor and ill tape them on the floor with a plastic covering underneath it and allow
children to paint using their fine motors and different colors.

Setting: indoors
Context: The ECE did a science experiment with crystals in a diaper and children
enjoyed it. Teacher asked them if they were interested in making a tornado next
time and they all said yes.
Observation: During my first science experiment with the children they really enjoyed
the diaper crystal activity. I had asked the children if they were interested in making a
tornado which is another science experiment and Logan was asking me two days in a row
about when we’ll be doing it.
Cue: Logan and other children showed interest in the idea of making a tornado
I have selected a science experiment of making a tornado with the children. Ill be using
empty plastic bottles with food coloring and plain water with a bucket and I ll be showing
the children how to make a tornado plus allow them to make one themselves while taking
turns. This activity will strengthen their cognitive skills as well as language.

Setting: Indoors
Context: It was after snack time and before children went outside they played with
cue cards with the observer.
Observation: Children enjoyed playing with cue cards and guessing the names of items
on the cue cards after snack time. Logan, Olivia, Zoe specially were mainly part of this
game and were trying to compete with one another.
Cue: Children showed interest in language and naming objects on cue cards.
Experience Selected: I have decided do a language activity with more images and variety
and allow children to predict the names of new objects they see in the images. This
activity is simple but it provokes children to think about the names of the objects while
strengthening their cognitive and language skills

Context: It was after snack time and I did a bead activity with children of making
bracelets.
Observation: During one of the activities I did with making bracelets with children,
Logan, Olivia and Zoe showed a lot of interest in this activity and wanted to make
bracelets for their mothers. Some children didn’t get to finish their bracelets because their
parents came to pick them up.
Cue: Children showed interest in making bracelets.
Experience Selected: I have decided do make a necklace with children and do it in a time
which will allow all children to take part in the activity. I will be using different colored
beads to do this activity with children. This activity falls in the Arts and Crafts
curriculum area and is designed to allow children to be creative and strengthen their fine
motor skills.

Setting: Indoors
Context: In dramatic play time children were dancing while listening to music and
singing with it.
Observation: Children in the dramatic area were singing one afternoon before nap time.
They were dancing while listening to the cd in the CD player. Zoe had her princess dress
on and was dancing, so was Olivia and Maliaka.
Cue: Children showed interest to singing and dancing
Experience Selected: I have decided to do a microphone singing activity with children in
which each child will get a turn to sing their favorite song infront of everyone while
holding a microphone. This will strengthen their self esteem since they will be infront of
other children and singing all by themselves. I will have some light music in the room
while they are singing to motivate them even more.

• Dramatic dress up clothing
