3. THE HOLY QURAN
The Quran literal meaning "the
recitation“
Quran was verbally revealed by Allah
to Muhammad (P.B.U.H) through the
angel Gabriel (Jibril),part by part
,gradually over a period of
approximately 23 years.
“Verily we have revealed the Quran and
for us is its protection”
“It is not the words of man; but more than
that ,there is no aspect of human life for
which guidance is not contained and
Allah himself draws the attention of
unheeding mankind to this end by
4. BASIC ASPECTS COVERED IN QURAN
Speaking in its typical powerful and moving manner, the
Quran covers most of the aspects in regard to humans
and Allah and their relationship. Here are some of the
broad areas that the Quran covers:
The true attributes of Allah.
The nature of Spiritual World.
The purpose that God has set for human beings.
Man’s basic relationship with God and the responsibilities
thereof.
Life after death and
The Judgment Day and its implications for human beings.
5. HOLY QURAN KEY MESSAGE
The key message brought by the Quran is to
believe in One God and not to associate
partners with Him, to stay away from sins
and to lead a life devoted to earning God’s
pleasure. All Prophets taught about life after
death and gave glad tidings of paradise for
those who obey God, but warned of
punishment in hell for those who choose to
disobey Him.
6. TEACHINGS OF HOLY QURAN
Quran lays down the fundamental principles which humans must follow
during their lives on the earth. Some of most basic teachings of Quran
include two aspects:
1. Belief:
The Quran asks all humans to believe in Allah and his revelations and the
significance of his messengers as well as the impending Judgment day
that shall confront the human beings. It is only those who believe and fear
Allah shall be protected when the Judgment Day arrives and the rest shall
perish.
(2:177) It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces towards East and
West; but righteous is he who believeth in Allah and the Last Day and the
angels and the Scripture and the prophets; and giveth his wealth, for the
love of Him, to kinsfolk and to orphans and the needy and the wayfarer
and those who ask, and set slaves free; and is steadfast in prayer and
invests in zakat. And those who keep their treaty when they make one and
are patient in tribulation and adversity and time of stress. Such are they
who are sincere. Such are the Allah-fearing (muttaqeen).

2. Good Deeds:
The Holy Quran lays great emphasis on good deeds as being
the foundation of human race. Without good deeds the belief is
of no consequence and hence worthwhile. Quran says that
Allah loves those who do good deeds for their fellow human
beings by the virtue of their belief in Him.
3. Prayer:
This is yet another aspect that has been strongly emphasized
in the teachings of the Quran. A true believer shall offer prayers
to the God regularly. However the Quran categorically clarifies
that prayer without good deeds is not what God desires. Thus,
in order to be on the path of Allah, the humans have to believe,
do good and pray as per the Quran.
8. QURANIC VERSES EMPHASIZING THE
IMPORTANCE OF PRAYERS

have a (disabling) hurt are not on an equality with those who strive
in the way of Allah with their wealth and lives. Allah hath conferred
on those who strive with their wealth and lives a rank above the
sedentary. Unto each Allah hath promised good, but He hath
bestowed on those who strive a great reward above the sedentary.
(3:200) O ye who believe! Endure, out do all others in endurance,
be ready, and observe your duty to Allah, in order that ye may
succeed.
(4:124) And whoso does good works, whether male or

not the least injustice will be done to them.

9. QURAN’S TEACHINGS ON HUMAN CONDUCT

personal conduct the Quran teaches to have utmost concern
for others, be righteous and avoid falsehood.

make peace between them; but if one of them transgresses
beyond bounds against the other, then you should fight against
the party that transgresses until the other party complies with
commands of Allah. But if the other party complies, make
peace between them with justice, and be fair.
(49:10) All believers are brothers to each other.
