The document discusses the role of students as future leaders for the ASEAN community. 1. STUDENT’S ROLE AS A FUTURE LEADER FOR ASEAN COMMUNITY 2015
My Lecturer always say, “student now leaders in the future”. That’s why my lecturer always say that
protect Indonesian student future is our priority as a college student. This one of my reason that
make me involved a lot in student activity in HIV and Drug Prevention. To me, seeing students
smile is one of precious thing that always me feel energized.
Reducing student risk to get involved in Drug Abuse, or get infected by HIV/AIDS, by joint as a Peer
Educator in PIKM PELITA, is one of my real activity to accomplish the sixth goal of Milenium
Development Goal, that is “Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other diseases”. In my own opinion, to
have a part in a real progress to make MDG’s Goal accomplish is one of students responsibility. As a
future leader, students have to have a concept about protect their own future.
In the global scale, student and the other component that want to make a change for the future have
to make a global community because one country as a one part cannot make the change on its own.
The global community can take a part as a support system to make sure that every part of its
society can be developed and the other problem can be share to other, and solve the problem
together.
As a motor of global community network, Indonesian need their student. The student have to take a
part as Now Leader, and Future Leader. Indonesian Student have to know Indonesian part in Asean
Society and The other Regional Cooperation Network.
