SusanWikis first came to be when we decided to go paperless. We found that creating wikis was a tool to save and share our presentations rather than creating something on our own computer for the day and no one has access or collaboration to the presentationWe have used wikis as a tool to share our presentations that can be shared and added new knowledge arises.
SusanOur PLP experience has allowed us to experience so many web 2.0 tools and technology to create, document and share our celebrations.SkypeThrough the project and use of technology, two grade one classrooms participated in having student share their writing. The teachers co-planned the unit of study with a Literacy Coach, used Google Docs to collaborate, then decided to have their students compose a piece of writing then share it with the other class in a different community via Skype.Slide share Videos and DocumentsSlide share was used to upload a video taken of my son in Grade 7, sharing his love of math through math card tricks. This was presented at theSchool Community Council Symposium night- Supporting Your Child at Home with Mathematics. Slide share has been used many times to display documents on our wikis and blogs.Voice thread and SMART response can be used as an evaluation tool and a way for students to create and share their learning. We feel that this is only the beginning of our journey. We are excited to see what the future holds for our own professional development as we continue to share and work with others.
