1. Project – Modular Base Merchandising
Description:
Modular Base Merchandising (MBM) is a project to identify the item number and
corresponding Store number based on business conditions in different business areas that
should be cleaned up from Mark down Database.
Tasks
 Identify the items & stores that are active on Purchase Order from Teradata tables
 Identify the replenish items and corresponding store from Teradata tables
 Identify the Relocation stores from DB2 tables
 Identify the Parent and Child relationship changed items
 Identify the recall items and corresponding stores
 Create the CICS REST web service program to send the records to web service
 FTP the Mainframe files to and from UNIX server to manipulate them as needed
Responsibilities:
 Understand the business
 Identify the tables from DB2 and Teradata
 Design the SQLs as per the business conditions
 Designing, Coding and unit testing of components
 Clarify the QA team on deliverables
 Production deployment
 Post and pre deployment activities

Project 3 – Galleria Optura Next Gen
Description:
Galleria is a 3rd-party tool that is used to aid analysts in making assortment decisions.
Analysts look at 6 key characteristics when considering the assortment mix: Brand,
Flavor/Scent, Form, Size, Product Type, and Package. Through the manual analysis of these
characteristics in conjunction with other key performance factors, Client may decide to carry
or not carry particular items to their assortment. Currently 3 vendors are sending the details
to Client for Galleria analysis. As part of this project we need to retire the process of one of
the existing vendors and also incorporate the new vendor along with existing vendors.
Tasks
 Need to identify impacted COBOL-DB2 programs are used by Galleria in given
modules
 Need to identify the screens that may require the enhancement
 Need to make sure that no impact in the existing flow due to this new change
