2. Definition
• A corporate identity is the overall image of a
corporation, firm or business in the minds of
diverse publics, such as customers, investors and
employees.
3. Film distributor companies
• A film distributor is a key part of financing a film as
they are responsible for the marketing of a film.
The distribution company often differs from the
production company.
• This is because the distributors take on the role of
deciding the release date of the film and dealing
with how the film is being presented to the public
either theatrically or for home viewing.
• The primary distributor will often receive credit in
the film's credits, one sheet or other marketing
material.
4. Production companies
• The production company takes on the role of budgeting,
scheduling, scripting, the supply with talent and
resources, the organization of staff, the production itself,
post-production, distribution, and marketing.
• They may be immediately responsible for fundraising for
the production and can achieve through a parent
company, partner, or private investor.
• Production companies are often either owned or under
contract with a media conglomerate, film studio,
entertainment company, or Motion Picture Company,
who act as the production company's partner or parent
company.
