Weird Things I Did When I Was
           ASCM

ONE

Had everyone write out their resignations!
          Then I wrote mine…
         Then I tore them all up!
             RIGHT THERE

              RIGHT THEN

TWO

  Worked a market without anyone!
               NO TSI
                NO RS
              NO RSSM
        Picked up a few bills.
Ran a case study contest in the next JC
               Meeting…
       Made the team decide…

THREE

 Showed up at an RS point in KARWAR
        At 8:30 in the morning
When no one had a clue as to where I was

FOUR

  Banned paper from JC Meetings

             NO PAPER

            NOT A SCRAP

(I was jocularly said to gel my hair to
     enable blue-tooth reception!)

FIVE

Used the SURVIVOR format to decide who would
     get transferred at the end of the year.

              The team decided.

Not me. If you were on the boat, and not rowing
  the best you could, then this was not the boat
                     for you.

SIX

Told my team that I was likely to be ill
 tempered in the next month because I
   had broken off with my girl friend!

      And then started to CRY!
     IN FRONT OF ALL OF THEM

SEVEN

Did not allow 2 TSIs who came late for my
   first meeting to attend that meeting.

     THEY STOOD OUTSIDE ALL DAY

  (No one ever came a minute late for a
         meeting I ran, after that)

EIGHT

Made it mandatory for everyone to switch
   their phones off from 9:30 to 5:30

(On a random check, a TSI swore that he
 had switched it off and it rang only when
               I had called!)

NINE

Ran a day long classroom training session
             for my stockists.

Had them sit in a class room for a full day
  and made them take tests at the end of
          it! Yes, the stockists!

TEN

Got drunk one night after reading all the
  depressing things my team had to say
   about me. Called every one of them
 between 10:30 and 1:00 in the morning
   and said I was really sorry, and that
        things would be different!

        I CRIED THAT DAY TOO!

ELEVEN

Rewarded an RSSM who had the courage
          to say what he felt.

          “Hotline to ASCM”

If a RSSM thought a TSI/SO/ASM wasn’t
   rowing fast enough he could voice his
                 dissent!

TWELVE

Refused to do a quarter end.
           PERIOD
   I turned in my laptop!
        I went home!

   (I was in a cold sweat)

      I am still in HLL!

THIRTEEN

           The Crucible

      Let me tell you a story.

After this day, I never had to justify
anything I asked for. Because I knew I
           had their hearts…

             Listen to your heart!
   Be human, its easy to like people with
                  REAL feelings
    If you are not being a freak, you are
                 missing a trick
                 Its OK to cry!
If they don’t love you as a friend, they will
        not walk that extra mile for you
