Presentation from StackiFest 2017 by StackIQ's Director of Open Source Engineering, Joe Kaiser. StackIQ released an open source Stacki Pallet for Kubernetes in January 2017. Kubernetes is an open-source system for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. In this presentation, Joe will demo how to build a Kubernetes cluster using the Stacki Pallet for Kubernetes. The Pallet runs on the Stacki framework giving you a functioning Kubernetes cluster with a kubernetes-dashboard deployment if you request it.

2. Stacki + Kubernetes + (Docker)
 Why
 Bare metal install of kubernetes with docker.
 There are no services running in containers, i.e. compare minikube
 Goal is to go from power on to running dashboard, with minimal touch.

 All nodes on private subnet, public access through frontend
 Can all do fully public by plumbing second interface.
