About Out Reach English Teaching Initiative - GURUGEDARA
Gurugedara is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the isle of paradise,
while changing lives by enhancing English skills of students in the beautiful isle of
paradise. The exciting thing about this project is that you will not be traditional
"teachers". You have the flexibility to organize events, and go your own way in
improving the spoken English skills of children who are not exposed to practical English
usage. The project will take place in the pearl of the Indian Ocean for a period of 2
months, surrounded by mountains and a soothing tropical climate. Food and
accommodation will be provided, and this would also be a wonderful opportunity to
interact with AIESEC members in Sri Lanka and, as many interactive events are in store
for you!

Job Description1 Create an attractive program aimed at developing spoken
English skills of students who have a minimal English
knowledge
Job Description2 Implement the said program with the assistance of local English
teachers and principals.
Job Description3 Ensure that the students under you will be exposed to English
language usage and skill development by taking part in a range
of activities
Job Description4 Interact with students and teachers in a cultural exchange basis
and inspire the students to improve their language skills.
Job Description5 Work together with your partnering intern in achieving your
prime goal - improving spoken English skills among your
students

Ability of your students to understand basic English and
converse in basic English
Preparation required

An idea on how you shall improve "Spoken" English skills which
is different from English language, and a basic idea about the
culture of Sri Lanka.

Working Conditions
(1)Food and Accommodation provided free of charge.
(2) An intern will be charged 95 USD once they agreed to join
this internship. This payment covers ICX processes such as
Intern Reception, Intern Servicing and others.
(3) Interns will be picked up from the airport on arrival. A buddy
will be allocated.
