"Moving Image Major is all about images
that move, whether live action,
animation, motion graphics or any
combination of the three. It prepares the
students for a career that spans a range
of exciting options available in Film, TV
and Internet based Media practice.
11. Moving Image is a four semester Minor course that will introduce the students to the theory and
practice of filmmaking. It will equip them with the basic tools and processes that go towards the
production of impactful short films/videos. This course will also open the students’ eyes towards the
possibilities of using this powerful communication tool in their respective fields of work.
12. Rationale: Films & Videos are an important and integral part of contemporary visual language thought
& practice. A more than passing acquaintance with the theory & technique of moviemaking will equip
the future with a powerful tool of expression and analysis, a tool that is at once an stand-alone
product as well as an aid to other ends.
