tutorial of NodeMCU setup. easy to follow setup NodeMCU with firmware by Flasher (https://github.com/nodemcu/nodemcu-firmware/releases) and using ESPlorer checks that firmware is well uploaded. Finally, RUN a LUA example code.

1. NodeMCU setup LUA

2. What we need?
• NodeMCU (http://nodemcu.com/index_en.html)
• ESPlorler (http://esp8266.ru/esplorer/)
• NodeMCU flasher (https://github.com/nodemcu/nodemcu-
flasher)
• Firmware(https://github.com/nodemcu/nodemcu-
firmware/releases)
• LUA “hello world!” (http://www.lua.org/pil/1.html)

3. NodeMCU Flasher
• Start NodeMCU Flasher with .bat file
• Setting Advanced and in config tab set firmware location

4. NodeMCU Flasher
• Click start button then wait until firmware downloaded.
(if you get red signal on left corner then you must miss Advanced setting)

5. ESPlorer
• After firmware
downloaded
• Open ESPlorer
• Set port num to
connected port with
NodeMCU
• Set port speed as 9600
• Then click “Open”
• Press reset button on
NodeMCU

6. Hello, World Ex.
• In script window,
coding the “Hello,
World” example
and save as init.lua
• Press the button
under to script,
Save&Run.
