The victim along with three other cont. workers of M/s Amarjit Kumar were
engaged for laying of 4 inch dia MS pipe near LNG-6 coal stock for firefighting
purpose. While removing a discarded pipe from the work place with the help of
his co-worker, he slipped & fell down and his head hit over the flange of the pipe
causing a deep injury on the right forehead & fracture of radius bone of right
hand.

One 100Te CAT dept. dumper no. 641 was going to take load from dept. OB face
where it skidded on the haul road. The front right side of the dumper hit the right
side of the cabin of one loaded cont. coal tipper of M/s Trinetra Coal Transport
Firm. The victim, driver of coal tipper received injury on his right leg and was
given first aid. Subsequently, he was shifted to NS Central Hospital ans later to
Ashwini Hospital, Cuttack for further treatment. The injured person received
fracture in right leg tibia and fibula.

40. Duties of person employed in
mines.
(As per CMR 2017)–
(1) Every person shall strictly adhere to the provisions of the Act and of the
rules and regulations made thereunder and to any order or direction
issued by the manager or an official with a view to the safety or
convenience of persons not being inconsistent with the Act, rules and
these regulations; nor shall he neglect or refuse to obey such orders or
directions.
(2) No person shall interfere with, impede or obstruct any person in the
discharge of his duties, nor shall he offer or render any service, or use
any threat, to any other person with a view to preventing him from
complying with the provisions of the Act and of the rules and regulations
made thereunder or from performing his duties faithfully.

Tipper Driver, 31 Tipper OC 1 C One 100Te CAT dept. dumper no. 641 was going to take load from dept. OB face where it skidded on the haul road. The front right side of the dumper hit the right side of the cabin of one loaded cont. coal tipper of M/s Trinetra Coal Transport Firm. The victim, driver of coal tipper received injury on his right leg and was given first aid. Subsequently, he was shifted to NS Central Hospital ans later to Ashwini Hospital, Cuttack for further treatment.
